    Copied from their own FAQ:

So I'd say just go with the Hasbro version and pay the extra $5, otherwise you're likely to get stuck paying another $15 for the Takara version when they realise their mistake

They're all great. I'd say Sinnertwin feels the cheapest and lightest being a backwards retool of Snarl and Blot is my favorite. Definitely one of the best CW-style Combiners to date.

I appreciate that in PotP, Hasbro managed to do retool/reuse right. As recently as CW, Smokescreen had a lightbar because they couldn't be bothered to redo his roof from Streetwise. The beast/dino Deluxes have some reuse, but it's much subtler.
Slag/Sludge share bot legs and bot limb transformation, but all the other parts are unique. They could've recycled bot arms and tails, but didn't.
Cutthroat/Swoop have obvious design similarities, but few, if any, reused parts. Even the bot forearms are different.
Sinnertwin/Snarl have similar transfromations, but different parts and orientations, with Sinnertwin putting the large limbs in front, instead of in back. This also helps him look less like a mini-Hungrr.

My favorite is Blot/Rippersnapper. I didn't know why Rippersnapper had those blue pieces in his armpits. Then I realized that in Blot, those fold out to give the beast wide shoulders. They're similar in that the beast head folds over the bot head, but those armpit pieces seem to be the only shared parts.

I like to imagine that some Hasbro exec said, "We've got to reuse parts in these designs to meet the budget."
Toy designer: "Actually, we don't. We can do unique toolings for two..."
Exec: "No excuses! Reuse something or you're fired!"
And then the designer put those armpit pieces in Rippersnapper out of spite.

I also appreciate that putting Legends Groove on PotP Inferno is a start on Universe Defensor. Suggested limbs:
    Mirage
    Prowl (or Streetwise)
    First Aid (or Ratchet)
    Unit-3 (or Sunstreaker)

The colors of the F1 and motorcycle will be swapped, and at most 2 of the vehicles will be in the same position. But, it's probably the closest you're going to get to justifying spending aftermarket money on Unit-3.

This would be funny if it weren't so sad... and probably true.

No gray gun, no gun for Hun-grr, no dragon knees, just recolored everything from previous releases... This set is severely lacking, and lazy.

Ugh. Two guns, that's it? It's like they're not even trying anymore. I know, I know, this is what they did in CW, but that was back when we didn't have options. With KOs and even Hasbro stepping up, I need more than a repaint with a remolded toe.

You have to clip his shins together first, then fold and lock the beast feet up, make sure the calf panels are tightly closed and then peg the beast legs on the side. Locks up tighter than a drum.

I got it now. The seller on eBay I bought it from said he could never get the legs closed. I would not have thought that I had to unclip everything spread the legs apart and then clip them together. The instructions were not clear about these extra steps. Now I got his arm really tight. Thanks again for your help

Nah, I have that coming. This is more like confusion over encountering other versions of his teammate.

I like that "fan vote" blurb in the corner...worth the price of admission by itself.
