The third member of my Magnaboss project, and the final member of the original trio.

Ironhide here is based off his Beast Wars elephant incarnation, and is made from a modified POTP Headstrong. The new elephant head is from the Gekiranger Elephant Zord, altered in a way so to be compatiple with the Headstrong body.

Everything is fully transformable, with no problems being used in combined mode.

Only downside is that the robot mode has a big elephant trunk on it's head due to the parts used. But given how the elephant mode came out, I'm fine with it.

I’m surprised you didn’t use the original 3 to be the torso and arms. Although Headstrong is a much better base

Are you planning to mod/recolor POTP Rampage and Tantrum/Torox in order to form your own version of Magnaboss?

 

The decepticons and Dai Shi better run and hide.

 

Oh yeah. There was no way I was going to do the main three and not make Magnaboss.

 

Here are my suggestions:

POTP Rampage: mod/recolored into BW Wolfang or K-9

POTP Tantrum/Torox: mod/recolored into BW Bonecrusher

Considering how alien he looked in Beast Wars, the strangest thing about him in this iteration being a trunk on his head... I think could easily be considered an upgrade  

Anyway since I already know that plenty of people would have accepted Ironhide as a straight repaint of Headstrong I think you deserve even more kudos for taking things to the next level!

I mean I was plenty excited before, but now that every addition to this project will be a surprise I'm pretty much on the edge of my seat  

 

So with the two that are left... I could see Tigatron from Rampage... but Unit-3 can't really be represented with the Tantrum figure... unless you disregard the McDonald's toy having a lion's head, and just giving him a brand new alt mode altogether. Only reason I even speculate for those two would be due to TFCC's CW Magnaboss setup.

 

Magnaboss has quite the line up when it comes to alternative limbs. Tigatron, Unit-3, Airazor, Perceptor was once in there. And I'm trying not to be too predictable with who the next two are, so the ones just listed won't be used.

That, and I'm not 100% who'll they'll be either. I had one idea in mind, then went to another, and another. So I guess we'll all find out as time goes on

How do you turn Rampage into an elephant?

When thinking about who the last two could be, one thing to consider is if the goal is to give the final combiner colors similar to his BW incarnation.

So, for example, Backstop as the other leg.

Regardless, I want this in my home.

 

Cybertron Backstop as a leg got me thinking someone like Cybertron Leobreaker would make a great arm.

Especially with the colors on Silverbolt. Breaker wasn't quite as brown, but the yellows and brows he did use could make for good symmetry here and would blend some with Prowl.

Plus you get baked in lore as he's shown himself capable of forming a combiner arm for Optimus.

Of course, this is all just me talking. Grimlockimus has done a fantastic job with these customs so I look forward to seeing what he comes up with regardless!
