Now it's time for Jazz! This is a radically different carformer in the Combiner Wars tradition.

    Card:

Jazz is very striking in robot mode, with pleasing proportions for a lithe secret agent type.

The armor pieces all have a common design, so to fit on the very different chests of the figures, they have both a 5 mm peg and two smaller tabs on each side. The holes on Jazz' chest to attach it are subtle indeed!

Biggest issue, and it might just be on mine, but the face sculpt is unacceptably soft. (I know this photo isn't focused well but believe me it still wouldn't look great :p  )

The rally car mode is once again superb on shape and colors, but underpainted, especially on the back. Still, we get a couple of nice race-car touches we've not seen in awhile!

Check out arm mode! Unlike other CW cars, his entire peg-based torso swings out during transformation, giving him lots of flexibility. His car shell does sit a little awkwardly though...

    Bonus: Confusedicus!

Jazz is a good Jazz, not about to top the RtS version but impressive nonetheless! With a sharper face sculpt and painted headlights and hubcaps I wouldn't really have a complaint!

lol, the wrist swivels. a deluxe finally gets them and they're blocked off by the panels. would've been better off hinging out, especially since he's got the hollow spots in his arms anyway.

i like how he looks, especially the middle of the hood swinging down into his torso. a crasher retool would be dope

Mine has the soft face sculpt too. Kinda funny how Jazz is the one to get it, considering the same happened to his G1 mold.

Hey, he has wrist swivels, nice! They've really improved things since Combiner Wars.

Wonder what other uses could they give to this mould?

Thanks for the review! I like that he looks pretty unique for a limb and made it look like Jazz. I just really don't like his arms. Sometimes arms without swivel wrists don't bother me, but his really do.

I really want to like this guy but my copy came with a mismolded tab on the passenger side that prevents the car mode from tabbing together. Even on the driver's side however the fit and finish are poor. There's little gaps all around the fenders and doors. The fact that so much of him is made of clear plastic makes transforming him scary. Very dissapointed.

Edit: Managed to get both sides to tab in with some force. It certainly helps the alt mode.

Swivel wrists are indeed a surprise. Should be easier to pop them out to paint I suppose. Rts jazz is definately superior but I will still get this one. Thanks for the review.

Wow, I didn't even know he had wrist swivels. I thought that died when Wave 3 of Titans Return struck. Good to see more characters with wrists. Getting this guy last, unfortunately. I had high hopes for him.

It looks a lot like a Le Mans racer, and the TFWiki has a subcategory for the alt mode (Popular Earth vehicle alternate modes - Transformers Wiki). A couple ideas could include G2 Drench/Deluge, RiD Daytonus, Armada Wheeljack or Cybertron Six-Speed (which would be cool alongside Offroad as Reverb and either a remolded Vortex or a new helicopter mold as Jolt).

Undocumented shoulder missiles mode, clips on like it was intended.

Thanks for the pictures. This helps. I’d been thinking he was an easy pass but now I’m thinking if I see him I’m getting him.

The missiles fire just over his head. Look again.

Does it, par chance, also mount the other way up with the barrels pointing down?

If so, Sideswipe repaint/retool, with the armour acting as his jetpack.

He can do a butt-jet, but I can't figure how to mount it higher.
