I was super disappointed to find out we wouldn't be getting a full Fembot Galstalt. After the stunning success of Flywheels' dye job, I vowed to nab an extra of each limb Fembot and give them a go.
Moonracer was the first up and her double-to-be-dyed did not go according to plan!
Yep, I never expected green dye to turn both her more porous white & mint green plastic a dark teal, and her white paint kinda lilac?!
I reckoned that I could make that work with the help of some acrylics though, and here she is, more "inspired by" than totally 'toon accurate, - POTP GREENLIGHT!

awesome job! love the weapons! what are they from? and did you somehow remove the pins on her legs, by any chance?

 

Cheers, I am just a hobbyist really lucky enough to have pretty steady hands and to have found some simple and effective techniques.

Thanks! Her weapons are from a lot of Energon weapons I managed to win off Ebay (actually a couple of lots), a pair of Energon Divebomb blades and two Cruellock blasters that came without the greatsword. The Divebomb blades just needed a bit of clear nail polish for a bit more purchase to work with the blasters.
I didn't remove the pins from her, I just dunked her whole but sort of unfurled/opened up mid transformation like I did with the TR Megs that became Flywheels.
I did make an attempt to get the pins out on my other custom Fembot, Lancer, (I'll be posting her another time as I ran out of decent daylight today to photograph her too) but they were in there so tight that I abandoned the effort and dyed her thighs as well instead of trying to maintain their Novastar orange as I originally intended. Turned out that was closer to the 'toon character deco layout too so it worked in my favour!

 

Hell yes! I need both your fembot customs! So well done.

 

I like your repaint, its beautiful. Great use for energon guns.
