Can you show some photos? I need to do this before I paint the wings red.
So I wasn't planning on getting Dreadwind or Darkwing, but Dreadwing is a lot of fun!
And wow, did not know the G1 versions were so small. Only Power/Godmasters I ever had were Overlord and Prime/Ginrai.
My combiner port on the feet won't hold the fist peg at all.
It's a misassembly. There are proper right and left leg hinges. My first copy had two right leg wing hinges which made the left leg not plug in.
I've seen copies that have two right, two left, swapped right left, and proper right left hinges so it's luck of the draw. Luckily you can tell by looking in the package at the left leg if that one is correct. I knew that if I bought a second with correct left leg I could build one perfect one so I bought a second and luckily that one had both correct legs but a left arm that falls off at the elbow if you look at it wrong. So luckily the first one I bought has a good left arm that I swapped over!
Long story short, there's not a good way to fix unless you shave the peg. If you have one that has both wrong hinges you would have to use a soldering iron to take out the pins and swap them. If you have two of the same hinge shaving one will be the only way. It's better to find a good one by inspecting the left leg you can see in the package visually. There's a slight notch on that hinge that should face into the wing so if you see the notch in the package then the left leg has the right hinge.
Nearly impossible for me to tell unless I opened the package, the figure's right leg is obscured by some blurry parts of the blister so it's really hard to tell. I could easily make out if the correct hinge was used on the figure's left leg without opening the package, but not the right.
Yes, I agree, in my post I said a couple times that you can see the left leg, not the right.
As I was asking earlier, can someone provide photos of where I need to shave? I'm fine doing it, but I need to know where so I don't cut off too much.
if you have the star seeker clones, this gun works perfectly with them, color wise. I gave the gun to the car clone.
This guy (and Blackwing) are a lot of fun.
Does anyone have any comparison pics between the original G1 figs of these two and the PotP versions side by side?
I never had the original G1 versions so kinda curious.
In the Blackwing thread there is.
Finally caved and got one. The shoulder hinge is misassembled. I’m going to have to remove a pin to flip it. The arm doesn’t sit flush along the body in alt mode and his arms look asymmetrical in robot. Aside from that, it’s not a bad figure. I would’ve preferred twin guns, though.
Since Hasbro provides helping hands...
very awesome, who is that gold and black jazz-like autobot in the background?
That’s United Stepper/ Ricochet ...
TF United: Stepper
Some Dreadwind pictures I took before storms came. Really do enjoy this figure though I quite often want to type "Dreadwing" out of habit.
