So I've gotten some of these and I just don't like em. I feel that Hasbro cheapened out on giving us gestalt type figures. I mean Drones? seriously. They're more like shitty power rangers. I love the alt modes but the sorry excuse for appendages they came up with for them is lame. The bright blue ports seriously ?? don't even try and hide them hasbro. The main bots are cool and have good transformations but they are scout class. Anyhoo that's my rant what's your opinion?
They're crap. The connection ports for the center-mode robots really take away from the look and feel of the vehicle-modes. They also make the robot modes look like a quadriplegic Dr. Octopus.
I'm hoping that they expand the line and make limbs with all three modes, because so far I like the main bots as well - but the drones suck it. I'm wondering if anyone has tried taking the energon combiner connections and swapping them out so energon limbs could be used - they'd probably be too big though (limbs and/or connectors).
They are more for the children. Don't forget these are toys. And toys are mainly for little kids between 6 and 12. My kid loves mine, and so do I.
I watched a Youtube review of the Skyburst set by baltmatrix and the main bot was falling apart from simply touching it. It served as an example of poor engineering and quality on Hasbro's part. I'm still interested in picking up a Huffer and Smolder, though.
My kid's didn't like em. I know they're for kids but they still could have been better. For $20 I could buy my kids something cooler.
Wait...the Gobots had combiners? Anyway, I think the PCCs are okay. Not the best idea Hasbro's come up with, but hopefully it'll get better down the road.
They are meant to be cool cheap toys that are fun to play with. They aren't meant to be display pieces. I personally think that the toys that have the best playbility are the scouts. They are easy to transform and just all around fun. The fun with these guys are gonna be combining the limbs. I can't wait to get a bunch and have an all out "pew pew" battle with my son and these toys. I like something to display as much as the next guy, that's what leader Prime and the Masterpieces are for.
Superion is a really bad toy as is.If they come out with better limbs it may be passable.Right now his legs and feet are a floppy mess. Bruticus is pretty good though.
So what - you think they made those two for adults or something? As far as I know, the recommended age on those and these is the same.
Don't have any yet, but I got a good look at them at TRU this afternoon. The 2-packs looks decent enough but the 5-packs looks like garbage. DEFINITELY avoiding those stupid drones. But I'll probably go back for the 2-packs next week. Particularly Smolder. Oh and I voted 'Meh they're alright' in the poll.
Since when does "fun" and "displayable" have to be two different things? I'm just not understanding how you can say these are for kids, while apparently any TF that is display worthy isn't? MP (and maybe alternators) lines aside, they're ALL for kids. We've already got the activator/powerbot/quick change lines for the little kids - all the rest are for the older kids. The main bots in the powercore line are just as intricate as any other main line.
Not all transformers are made for the same age group. I'm not saying that leaders and voyagers aren't made for kids either. All I'm saying these PCC's are perfect for kids around my son's age of like 6-9 and they don't have to be perfect to be fun and cool. But I'm not saying I'm right either. I like them so I'll defend them a little more than someone else will.
Well I voted meh but I think I'm going to hold off on buying them for now. I rather have Thrust than them so he can complete my seeker collection. I'm very disapointed on the quality of them anyway. I'm just going to buy what I'm looking for so in all I say no to the PCC for now....
