Finally arrived today!  

 

The main problem on mine is the alternating tabs on the midsection. Even hulking them together as hard as I can doesn’t keep them together. While the feet tabs do get a very light hold, it’s not enough to keep the whole thing together. I just watched Peaugh’s review and he was having the same problem.

Guys - from what I'm reading it seems that this figure has difficulty staying tabbed etc. Is it really that bad or just a couple of bad QCs? Was the original coloured version like this? I didn't pick up POTP Primal.

 

mine doesn't have trouble staying tabbed aside from the club. mine only had that shoulder misassembly that's very rare.

 

Thanks for the reply but what is this shoulder misassembly?! Kinda stunned to read of such an issue!

 

nothing much. just the inside ratchet thing is on the wrong side. only prevents the shoulder from rotating all the way up for Optimal mode, and literally just a few screws and rotation's worth to fix. there's a fix in the Potp's thread i'll link here once i find it.

Man. What an ordeal. But HTS is now shipping my order. The order wasn’t completed, my PayPal got charged twice and then ultimately not even fulfilled.

I had to call in and pay again, and I have to get the PayPal’s reversed. So it only cost me like $240 to get him. What a deal!  

BUT they are shipping me one. So yay. Hopefully the PayPal reversal will go smoothly.

 

Update. I didn’t have to call PayPal. Once they completed the real order, the others fell off. Yay!!

 

Got mine this weekend and have finally run him through his paces. I really like him - both the basic design (still haven't found the retail version) and the little bonuses (well, okay, the cardboard throne is just okay, but the mace, crown and extra prime masters are great). I totally get why they picked the deco they did, but man would he look cooler with a blacker black (like Nemesis Prime or Rodimus Unicronus) and a few gold accents to match the crown and mace. That's a nitpick, though - it's really a solid effort from Hasbro.

I might look into making the matrix light up - he's really the perfect figure for that feature.

I wasn't sure if I'd pick up a DNA Design kit for the SDCC kit as well as the retail kit, but this guy is pretty cool so I hope they make something for it (especially if they do something extra special).

Got mine today; definitely the superior use of the mold.

Now I just need wave 3 of the Prime Masters so I can finish decking out the throne.
