No, work and school both picked up and it's on the back burner. I've been tweeking the leg designs lengths to get them right

I last was working on her on the 18th. I removed the head swivel bar using an awl which slipped and went through my thumb. Safety reminder: be more careful removing pins.

Yup. Today it's just a couple of tiny subcutaneous blood spots.

I'll update when I get some more progress done.

I was printing a side item while working this design:

BTW, there is an oversized KO of dinobots. Slash is not available yet but it is expected to be done too.

    KO OS POTP dinobots

I've seen her and considered just buying her and doing a torso swap. But where's the fun in that!

Also, isn't she pink for some no good reason?

I have resized the dino feet talons, robot thighs and shins. Need to put ratcheting joints on the ankles and knees to better hold in position.

Plan to have a single part that unfolds into robot head, dino head and tail, that ties into where swoop's wings used to be. If I get the ratcheting joints down correctly, I'll likely shift the robot legs to the dino belly side, leaving the entire swoop robo chest area to work with for the remaining parts.

After I get all parts the way I want them, I'll reprint in silver and black.

Black: Talons, Robo Thighs, robo feet
Silver: Robot head, robo shins, raptor arms, raptor head and tail

At this point I'm fairly tempted to go all in and just design the torso and robo arms, then print those out. It'd be a 100% 3D printed figure at that point.

That looks really cool. The shoulders could probably stand to be just a little thicker though. I think it should stay as an upgrade for Swoop though. His arms and chest already work pretty well for her, and unless you're planning on moving the combiner port to the printed version one would have to get a spring for it to work (unless you don't plan on her being able to combine, which would be a bit of a shame though).

Oh she needs to be able to combine for sure. Volcanicus has been an amputee since swoop went wingform.

Well that's good. Far as I can tell, the build is pretty good overall. She might need some longer thighs though, considering she looks a little too stocky. :lol

Resized the bot-shoulders / dino-hips larger. She looks like she's wearing an 80's movie dress sleeves now. But I like it, works better in dino mode for sure. Spent the afternoon sketching up a bot-head dino-tail assembly. We shall see how that goes.

Last one for tonight, and probably a while . Today a kiddo was home sick from school, so I had the whole day to printing after she got some meds and a nap in her.
    IMG_20180904_224143.jpg

Printed the tail then head way too small. Reprinted the head, tail in machine now. Thanks for all the feedback, and I'm looking forward to finishing her sometime soon.
