POTP optimal optimus is a fun toy, but the biggest issue is in gorilla mode while riding the skate board, his back is totally empty!


So I decided to fix this and found a perfect jet pack for it, without even need to modify anything. Here is how.

1) Dig out the chug Jhiaxus which is probably collecting dust somewhere.


2) folded it like this, basically Valkyrie guardian mode with sit position.




3) Then just fit it into gorilla's back, perfect, you can feel the "click" sound like a combiner limb fit into socket.


4) That's it, time for all side view








Now he has a jetpack while skating, with awesome weapons too!




P.S. I really think these two ugly beasts are related somehow....

thanks, and the color fits perfectly, no difference at all. Plus no need to modify anything, so it's a really nice jetpack.

Because it works so well, I'm working on a small DIY it can actually become jetpack for robot mode as well.

 

I don't have that, but I wonder if Armada Starscream would work the same way.

That's cool! You ought to give him a new head and faction symbols to turn him into a new character!  

 

Yeah, that's a good idea, I should apply the faction label, but I want to keep the head, because it looks like the gurila's head.

I'm doing a small DIY using Jihaxus in Optimus's robot mode as backpack as well, is that what do u mean?

 

If you see the back of the mod
you will notice Jhiaxus' head pointing straight down. Flip his head up and twist around Primal's limbs until it looks like he's piloting a mech suit

 

I'm not sure if that'll work. If you were to flip down the gorilla head so Jhiaxus could see better then there might not be enough room for it to work. Unless you mean for him to pilot a gorilla mech that is, then it would definitely work.

I didn't realize how well this would work. Much less on other figures. I guess big bot sure has a thing for his entire body being used as a weapon. Also the last picture works extremely well.
