There are also rumors of a Deluxe w/ Bonus or Voyager class Thundercracker found in TRU's computer system.

Wreck-Gar showed up in Walgreen's computer system and would probably be a Groove retool with PotP hand armor.

 

Well, they would have gotten figures with a pre-upgraded form.

Magnus likely would have been more Geewun with a Deluxe White Prime inside.

Most of the others likely would have gotten their "standard" form as the Deluxe with the super-mode being all new and a "Prime".

I presume he would have become Houndimus Prime or something. Ditto Arcee. Trailer that combines with their vehicle mode and a giant super-mode as a new Prime.

 

Not wanting to rain on anybodies parade or trying to dispute the rumour entirely (because I would love a mainline Shockers myself) BUT if it's an Asian-sourced rumour about a "Voyager Shockwave", well, AFAIK (and if China went with the Japanese/Takara naming) we might have already seen him, and it's not who you think...

 

You might be on to something there, but the leak that listed Shockwave also listed Tidalwave.

 

Yeah, unfortunately I can all-too-easily see that being a duping artefact due to the rumour's translation, odder stuff has resulted from conversion of Chinese to English (Like Legend TM Clouder being initially reported as Crowbar).
That's a result of applying Occam's Razor cut but as a tool it can be a blunt implement. Not entirely writing him off but I think it could be possible, especially if the Warden statement comes from Hascon or around that time, we could be looking at Shockers cropping up in the Post-POTP line given the span between the Dinobot rumour cropping up mid-TR and them appearing in the following line, not within TR as some thought. Though I'd plotz if Hasbro gave us an Evolution Shockers with a Senator Shockwave core bot! (And I'm not a massive IDW comics fiend, the concept is ace though!)

The rumors have gone from that massive leak of production images and the like to the list that had Tidalwave, Tidal Wave, AND Shockwave as voyagers. I'm waiting for something with some corroboration.

Large Deluxe would be a G1-ish Hound... and the upgrade would turn him into a big fat Movieverse Hound? TBH, I always look at Movie Hound and think it should have been Kup, if anything... *shrug*

 

Yeah. I think with half of these, they were prepared to do completely original designs/upgrades.

Then with Star Saber, Ultra Magnus, Optimus Primal, etc. they would just do the established "upgrade" scheme.

So we probably saved them a lot of trouble in terms of new character designs. (Though I wonder if they did do any concepts for Arcee-imus Prime. I suspect they at least had proper new Prime names picked out for an announcement.)

Conjecture: Hound as Silvanus Prime. (Ie. god of nature, a tracker, shepherd and defender of the weak.) Arcee as Artemis Prime?
