What do you think would have been GREAT to see in an episode or episodes that was never even touched on? Like a scene that sets itself up but never pays off? A character that should have been developed more? This isn't me ranting to say "its nawt teh purfekt, its stoopid", it's just discussing what could have come from it.

Personally, I LOVE, yet really HATE the episode "Con Job". I love it because of all the good material it was working with. But that's the thing - I hate the fact that there was too much good material to cram into one episode. I think it'd have developed itself better if it were a 2-parter. The tension would have been more prominent, and Bulkhead's relationship to Wheeljack would have been looked at more thoroughly, especially when Bulk's jealousy of Miko giving all her attention to Wheeljack and his paranoia of something being wrong with Wheeljack begin to set in. Plus, I literally said "what the hell!?" when they set it up for a PERFECT scene yet never touched on it. I felt there was a REALLY great scene that could have come from Arcee saying "Optimus went out for a drive. Primes don't party".

    The scene is:

Jack says he wants to take a breather and heads up top, and to his surprise, he finds Optimus looking up at the stars. He says to Jack, "From what I've observed of humans, most of them never take the time to see what they have before them", cutting to a view of the stars. Optimus is really trying to find Cybertron, and Jack asks what it was like before the war, and Prime simply tells a story about when he and Megatron were allies, and it reminds Jack of when he and his dad used to have fun together (like going dirt-bike riding or something). But for some reason, Jack's dad left and never came back, leaving Jack and his mom to take care of themselves. This alone would have said "this is why Optimus is strict and so serious" and "why Jack wanted to lead a regular life". Not to mention "humans and Autobots aren't that different after all".

I may sound a bit nit-picky, but I would have LOVED to see this scene.

So, what potential did you guys see that coulda come from what we got so far?

My only regret is that Airachnid and Arcee didn't have angry revenge sex in Predatory.

Kinky.  I mean, uh, that's nasty, man! :confused2

But as for this "potential" issue, I agree with you, Rayzilla Prime. However, I understand as to why they may not be able to do certain things due to issues of budget, VA scheduling, episode timing, overall series arc, etc., so let's just pretend that those didn't factor in. If there was one episode that could've used some more time, it would be "Con Job". A 2-parter could easily have fixed this problem. I really like your idea about Jack and Optimus. And how there could've been more tension and suspicion between Bulkhead and Wheeljack. Perhaps the first part of this potential 2-parter could've ended with that one scene, revealing Soundwave and Starscream walking into the holding cell, revealing the real Wheeljack captured. Just imagine, the dramatic music, the build-up, the pan up to reveal Wheeljack, just like when Megatron's dead body has been returned to the Nemesis at the end of episode 6. And then cut to credits.

And speaking of Megatron's body, one other thing I would've liked to have seen is a bit more delay in retrieving Megatron's body. I felt that it was too rushed. I mean, episode 5: He dies. Episode 6: Megatron's body is back. There was no real tension to it. I knew that Megs would be returning, just not so quick, I had thought. This is how I would've dealt with it (again, ignoring issues of episode timing, story arcs, budget, etc.). It's basically taking the Megatron returns/Starscream finds Megatron scenes of episode 6 and spreading them out a little more.
    Episode 5: ...Megatron dies.
Episode 6: Starscream watches the video of Megatron's death over and over again, informs his troops that he is the rightful heir to the throne. Basically no Megatron for this episode, allowing for more Skyquake time.
Episode 7: In-and-amongst the Autobots' scuffle with the scraplets, Soundwave informs Starscream of a Decepticon signal from the site of the destroyed spacebridge, Starscream takes flight to investigate.
Episode 8 (Part 1): Starscream returns to the destroyed spacebridge site and discovers Megatron. Perhaps an extended dialogue between them? Soundwave's minion stumbles upon them. Rest of the episode deals with the mounting tension between Bulkhead and the Wheeljack impostor, ending with the reveal of the true Wheeljack being held prisoner.
Episode 8 (Part 2): Continuing with the Bulkhead-Wheeljack episode. Episode ends with the reveal that Megatron's comatose body as been returned to the Nemesis. (The shot would also harken back to the captured Wheeljack shot)
    ...
Episode 13: Bumblebee "Transceptions" Megatron's mind.
Episode 14: Megatron takes control of Bumblebee's mind, and then eventually returns.

So I mean it's really only a difference of 3 episodes, but that's how I would've done it. Other than that, I love how they've done the rest of the episodes.

Yeah, this is exactly what I was thinking. The first part would end with them showing the real Wheeljack *GASP*, then the whole second part we'd be all "THAT'S NOT WHEELJACK!!!"

Hell, I really want to do a TF: MOSAIC or a 3-page mini-comic of the scene I mentioned with Jack and Optimus.

Convoy's whole second act. We got robbed of more Fowler and Optimus interaction and cool car chase scenes for a random eradicon fight.

Yeah. This. Hopefully we'll get a little more of this with the next few episodes being MECH-centric. Some cool Fowler-action is needed.

I agree with you Rayzilla. That would have been awesome but i'm sure the only reason it didn't happen was the CGI and it's budget.

In Predatory I wish there would've been some dialogue between Arcee and Cliffjumper in the flashback of him and Bee coming to rescue her. Something that would've fed her fear of losing the ones she's close with, for instance, Cliffjumper saying something like, "Don't worry you've always got me".

If the comics are canon, then its probably because Arcee and Cliff weren't all that close at that point. They only really started to bond during their journey to Earth.

I agree with both those two, while I like the episode, yeah, they should've just stuck with fighting against the new threat MECH, and shown us new measures to fight (ala the high speed fighting they did in the first half). But maybe we'll see more in the future, but who knows. I think a potential problem is that now MECH know what they're facing, they may not be battling vehicle-to-vehicle anymore, and may face them "on-foot" (if you will).

I actually see a LOT of potential. I could see this show having Avatar: the Last Airbender quality if given the chance.

I will say that it is lacking in autobot personality somewhat. They are a bit serious, but need some characters to balance that out. Like ROTF Jolt, with someone who is serious, but so freaking hyper that he is comedic. But, I do want them to introduce autobots like Battle Force Five introduced new team members; they genuinely add to the team, and aren't there just for more autobots.

I also think that NEST should show up late season 1, so we can have NEST/Autobots v. MECH v. Decepticons and other confusing fights. However, I think that these five autobots are who should be added:
    Ironhide (defensive specialist)
    Jolt (field medic and berserker)
    Jetfire (old guy and mentor)
    Roadbuster (weapons specialist)
Ultra Magnus (2IC and secondary team leader, when the autobots need to do a big operation)

That would have been a fantastic scene and would fit with the "Primes don't party" quote, which I thought was a revealing comment. It's lonely at the top.

Nice idea for this scene. It wouldn't have to be long either. Character development can happen with a well-placed sentence, glance or passing moment. Not to say TF: Prime doesn't have them, but Optimus doesn't have many. It's as if they're leaving his scenes out because we're all supposed to know his character already.

I agree that it would have been neat to see, but at the same time it was to early in the show for that. But that scene would have been a thing of beauty.

Oh I see potential all over the place because so many things have only been hinted at that we might find out more about as the series progresses. Such as we've seen a glimpse of the Decepticon capital, Prime seems to have history with a lot of characters, we've only seen two of the Wreckers so far, and the show doesn't mind flash backs.

Like just about any cartoon series the first season only lightly hits the bad guys so I can't wait to have some of the hero stuff out of the way so we can find out all the cool stuff about the Cons. Yes yes, I know I'm a Decepticon fan, but this series makes it hard not to be a Decepticon fan.

Not really so much potential but at some point I'd like to really know why Bumblebee is the only Transformer that doesn't seem to be able to speak English.

Theyn should've been the car Vehicons, that way they could've had the Decepticons and kept up with the high-speed chase action.

It would have been nice to have a scene at the end of "Shadowzone" after Prime tells Miko her ordeal is punishment enough if Arcee chewed out Miko for nearly getting Jack and Raf killed.

It would be in character for her. For someone who has lost several partners during the war, I can't imagine Arcee would have much patience with someone who reckless endangered her teammates' lives.

Plus it would be nice if the Autobots had a little personal antagonism going on in their camp. Miko would probably just resent Arcee rather accept any responsibility.
