To my surprise, my father surprised me with Blitzwing today. It's my first experience with the mold, and while one wing's got shit stickers and there are some seriously janky paint apps, the mold seems close to perfect. I fanmode up the feet to fill the frontal tank gap and he's golden. I also went to my favorite thrift store and got some stuff, with a bit of it relating to TFs.

The turtle 'armors up' pretty intensely when his legs are squeezed, and I also got a bunch of pieces that correspond to MV1 Dropkick and First Strike OP, two grails of mine. Hopefully I can find some junkers to stick my bits on for cheap. The Han was $10 and the rest was a bankbreaking $1.

Picked one of these Bumblebees up at a local store. Complete POS!

Fell apart on first transformation attempt and had a weird fishy smell.

    Cheap KO, avoid.

Pictures so that no one else gets caught out.

Ah, gotcha. Well, you know, I am British, not known for our culinary skills.

Although I have to say I do make a delicious Shepherds pie!

    Did someone mention shepherds pie?

    Yum!

Never ever compare a pot pie to a shepherds pie, lol... You'll start world war 3.

Sheaperds pie in fact has no pie crust at all... Ground beef, chopped carrots, peas (if you like onions, use em' as well) and then mashed potatoes on top, add cheese if you like, and dig in.

I just released TLK cybertron from it's layaway prison today... Jeez these colors pop!

:)  Shepherd pie is something else but it's goooood. Topped with mashed potatoes. I keep threatening my colleagues with making spotted dick. Mainly just to watch them try not to giggle like schoolchildren when I talk about it.

Got myself a Mustachioed Thundercracker Generations Scourge at a pretty swell price!

    Gen_Scourge.jpg

I haven't dipped my toes into the older CHUG stuff much, due to things like accessibility, price, sometimes overly complex transformations... Hell, sometimes the face sculpt alone can put me off a figure.(One reason why I'm so fond of the Prime Wars trilogy figures)

However, this fellow is fantastic! Of the older CHUG figures I've experienced, he's up there with Generations Wheeljack as an instant favourite! I love how his guns are somewhat evocative of his Targetmaster. I'm not interested in setting up duplicates as Sweeps(Yet), so my TR Scourge might find himself getting the boot down the road.

Yeah, I generally think the Prime Wars updates are better than older CHUG versions (Hot Rod, for instance), but Generations Scourge is better than TR Scourge, despite TR Scourge being more G1-ish.

So I went to a flea market and this guy had a large Sterilite bin full of Transformers. Most were in pieces and almost none of them had weapons. I grabbed some complete ones and mended a few missing arms and legs. Kind of sad I couldn't find Shockwave's hose.

I put these on the table and the guy said $15. I said, "For which one?". The guys says, "no for all of them." I told him that I'd give him $30 and he declined. He said for $30 I could have the whole bin. Since most of the bin was parts or figures I already have, I declined. I think it's a decent haul for $15.
