When you use Photoshop frequently, you'll find that keyboard shortcuts are fantastic! I thought I'd start a thread for everyone to post your favorites/most frequently used. You may see them later :)

Just so you guys know, I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS2 (yeah, I'm just a bit behind, but the basic interface continues to remain the same). The good thing about many of the keyboard shortcuts is that you can use some of them in other programs too :)

I think my overall favorite is Ctrl+Z (undo) :lol

Ctrl Y; Redo (I'm not a total screwup :lol )

    My others:

Ctrl + or -; Zoom In; Zoom Out
    Ctrl C; Copy
    Ctrl N; New Layer
    Ctrl X; Cut
    Ctrl V; Paste
    Ctrl T; Free Transform
    Ctrl + Shift + I; Inverse Selection
    Ctrl D; Deselect

i use gimp which doesn't have one for it, but merge down. i regularly find myself working with dozens more layers than i strictly want or need.
