    Alts vs. BT's...

Sorry, but BT's are actually a much, much, much better toy, for these two reasons alone...

    1. BT's are partly made of metal.
    2. BT's plastic doesn't scratch as easy.

Alts are a great cheap alternative. (No pun intended).
But compared to a BT, they're cheap.

Every Alt I have has tiny scratches, even opening one from the package. Every single one.

NONE of my BT'S were scratched when I first opened them. I have what? 38 or so Alts? Of which, every single one has tiny scratches on them, right from the moment you open them. NONE of them have EVER been played with. Opened yes. Displayed yes. Played with, no. And all 38 have minor imperfections. Every one. NOT ONE of my BT's do. Not one.

Several Alts are infamous for breaking, using plastic where there should be metal. Such as the Subaru WRX design, the tabs on the car roof that hold the rear windows in place break all the time (The BT part does not break, cause it's die cast). The corvette molds are famous for breaking hoods-such as my poor Swerve (The BT part does not break, cause it's die cast). Hounds are known to have doors or rollbars that break (The BT part does not break, cause it's die cast). Ect.

The number of times a BT broke because it used cheap plastic: 0.
The number of Alts that broke because they used a cheap plastic: 11.

BT's are they way to go. If you have a deep pocket book. And the patience to hunt them down.

    Yadda yadda yadda... ;-)

I know the differences all too well. I have a few BT's. Laserwave, Grimlock, and the grey jazz to name a few... of course my most prized is my MISB BT-17

I have heard plenty of stories of paint chipping off of BT's. None of my Alts had problems out of the box. It's just tomato and tomato. I do like the bt prime that recently came out.
