Okay, I forgot what the other series was called besides Victory, but considering all I see on E-Bay, is there a DVD series in:

    NTSC format
    English dubs ?

Sorry, I know I've asked this before; just lost track of the thread. I need to be more active here. Am spending more time at Hiss Tank. ;)

There is Headmasters and Super-God Masterforce along with Victory and the sole episode of Zone on DVD. You can get the Takara Boxed set for a fairly decent price at a place like Amazon.

The Headmasters DVD comes with a poorly done "english dub" done by Star TV back in the day. Luckily all DVD's come with excellently done subtitles in my opinion.

Masterforce alone imho on a sidenote is worth the purchase of the boxed set, I rate it above Beast Wars as far as the story development goes.. (please dont hurt me ;) )

Unfortunately, they are PAL. I've been looking for something similar myself but there's no option for us aside from youtube/torrents and other less official means.

Alternatively, the PAL DVDs will work in our dvd players/burners, but only on our comps. We cannot put them in conventional DVD players hooked up to tvs...unless there is a way to bypass the PAL/NTSC encoding. I've read that it's very complicated.

My issue is I don't want to watch it on my comp...I'd much rather watch them in my living room with my HDTV. That's why PAL is a problem for us. But if you want to watch it on your machine, then the aforementioned set is the way to go.

There are very inexpensive region free DVD players with a PAL converter you can buy. amazon.com is the way to go.

Was PAL always a better format?
    Clearer by chance?

Nope, its just what they use "Over there".

A region free player is well worth it though, I have Metrodome copies of Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory. Great quality.
