The Bee designs remind me of the Evangelion mechas but with enough recognisable vehicle parts to look like they can transform (AOE went overboard on this).

Oh man I can’t wait for mainline Bee toys :rock

I'm not keen, though it's no siller than Chromia or Minerva or Ariel, which were just plucked from classical mythology with no real rhyme or reason or connection to alt mode, or Elita-1 which is a blatant feminisation of Optimus Prime.

Diabla is the feminine variant of devil in Spanish, a terrible beast within most all women. Seems quite fitting when you consider this Decepticon as the monster lurking within an inconspicuous vessel.

To quote a character with a similar name-shtick, 'a bit obvious, but to the point!'

For people who speak romanic languages (like spanish or french), it's a bad name :')

Put yourself in our shoes, you would certainly think that "she devil" is a bad name, right? :lol

Even if Diabla isn't the Charger, I'm pretty positive her design is based on it. Just because Wildrider appears earlier in the same comic, and pretty much has the same design. With Bumblebee's design closely resembling the VW body, that can't be a coincidence. Especially not with some of the details on it, like the exhaust pipes and grill.

Kind of on the fence about whether or not the Plymouth is Diabla.

We pretty much know that Wildrider and Runabout aren't in the movie, so it stands to reason that all three might just be made up for the comic. I'm not entirely sure why they'd make her orange in the comic instead of just making her red. Also, I'm not sure the name "Diabla" would go over too well with some parents (although I've seen other strange names on toy shelves, so maybe Hasbro doesn't care.)

In favor of the characters being the same, both turn into similar cars. The transformation scheme seems to emphasize the headlights, which are very prominent on the Plymouth. The red and black color of the Plymouth would fit the name.

It could go either way. Right now I'm kind of leaning towards it not being the Plymouth, but I guess we'll find out soon.

I really just wanna know who the Decepticons will be in this film. Of course minus a few throwback characters (Starscream, Barricade, maybe Megatron cameo), I do hope we get original characters or at least characters who weren't part of G1. It would be cool to see an 80's version of (just spit-balling here) Lockdown, Crumplezone, Dirt Boss, Oil Slick, Ruination, Stockade, or any of the Decepticons introduced in 2015 RID.

Lockdown seems line an incredible longshot, since he's already appeared in the canon.

No offense guys, a lot people was saying that lucid car from last knight was a Transformer. This Plymouth could be just a normal car.

Well, in this case the Plymouth has a Decepticon logo on the hood. Also, I believe people from Cinemacon described a red automobile Decepticon.

Well, considering that someone actually zoomed in on that pic of Travis Knight and the Plymouth, revealing a Decepticon insignia on its hood, gonna have to disagree with you. . .And especially going by what I was told by someone who was at the test screening, too;) ;) :D :D

Seriously, I'm looking forward to this toyline. A retro-G1 toyline where instead of classic G1 character designs turning into modern vehicle alt-modes, we have characters turn into 80s vehicle alt-modes? Yes please!

I really hope they make all the robot characters in the film a toy. Would suck if this Plymouth Decepticon gets treated like Dreadbot or Mohawk.

One thing that's interesting is that none of the alternate modes we've seen so far are actually '80s vehicles. The Volkswagen Beetle is a 1967 model, the Plymouth is from 1971, and the F-4 Phantom is a late 50s/60s jet. Not sure about Bumblebee's jeep mode yet. Kind of hoping the blue car is an '80s automobile, so that time period will be represented by a Transformer in the movie. If not him, than maybe Optimus will be an '80s truck (if he's seen in the movie that is).
