And if this Optimus during the start of the war, I hope we find out what made him change to the Wave 1 Voyager.

 

At a first glance, it's easy to say this looks like the old Leader Cybertron Prime, but the legs are different. Plus, I don't think Tonton has a reason to lie. It would just ruin the reputation of his review channel.

I'm excited to see if it makes any improvements upon the old figure. The old Leader was pretty solid already.

Wanted to see Armada and Megazord Prime before Galaxy Fist Truck, but cool nonetheless.

 

I'm excited, but skeptical that it will improve upon the original. I finally completed my Super mode Optimus Prime+Wing Saber recently, and he's just a wonderful figure...he'd be really hard to improve upon even with Siege's impressive quality. Good for those who don't have the original though, I'll still probably pick this up if it's as good as Magnus, who looks great. I'm very happy to see Has/Tak hasn't forgotten about the Unicron Trilogy, here's hoping they update more figures from that era...and maybe do the ones that actually need updates, like Cyclonus and Demolishor.

 

I would assume it to be legit. Tonton has Six-gun and Ironhide (and a review up of the former). This is likely an image off of one of their boxes.

 

I wonder if the large stylized bumper piece will have fake molded fists? I hope so!

 

Oh HELL yes. That should be amazing. Hopefully he's actually big unlike the current Siege Leader figures.

Definitely not a photoshop of the original toy though. Anyone who thinks that clearly never owned Cybertron Optimus Prime - it's definitely an entirely new mould (well, "entirely new" compared to the original toy, not Siege Ultra Magnus, obviously).

Really? There's plenty they could improve.
Articulation, for starters.

Things such as hiding the head and chest area better in alt mode, possibly better hands (or worse - you can never really guess what Hasbro will do these days).
He could also have better stability in super mode (especially if they give him some ankle rockers) - the original was fine, but he was never quite as stable as he could have been once you got everything stuck on his back and feet.

They can also improve him aesthetically - yes, I know the original was cartoon-accurate, or the cartoon was toy-accurate, if you wish (intentionally so, of course), but the design could definitely be refined to look better overall.

Don't get me wrong, the original is a good toy, but it's possible to make it better.

 

This is the best thing Hasbro has done in a long time.

Megatron is also a voyager size.

He also needs a beefed up leader class figure with Unicron Trilogy armor. Or hell, a take on Marauder Megatron. Make it happen!

 

Except War for Cybertron Siege Boxes Don't have Cross sales on them not the wave 1 boxes at least.
