    Good lord, I hope not.

It might work as an SNL sketch or a viral video, but it's too dated to be a feature film.

We had a Pacman movie, it was in Robot Chicken and it based on the Matrix.

You people and your short-sighted thinking...

The movie would be based on the Pac-Man craze when the game first came out, not a big animated cheese wedge running around New York trying to eat ghosts and score some pills in some back alley.

Well, if it was based on said cheese wedge, at least Super Mario Bros. would finally have some competition for 'worst video game movie ever' :lol

Just you watch, this'll probably be praised as the BEST "video game movie" ever. :lol

I really hope that if they do, they manage to work in a scene where people are popping pills at a warehouse rave.

That sounds more like a documentary, but even a fictionalized account with a decent plot and a good cast -- it still begs the questions, "Why bother?" and "Who cares?"

Also, the video game docudramady concept was already done as "King of Kong."

If Avi is seriously going to produce this as a feature film, it tells me that they're just grabbing at straws as they try to cash in on nostalgia. If you'll try to make a movie out of Pac-Man (whether it's a hybrid fantasy or reality-based live-action comedy), you're truly out of ideas.

I can't picture a Pac-Man movie being that good. Maybe, we'll finally see the old Ruby-Spears cartoon get on DVD to capitalize off it, though.
