Ok, there's that announcement about a possible new Beast era. Allow me a little daydreaming: Wouldn't it be sick to see the G1 cast in beast form? Imagine a Bumblebee that actually turned into a bee. Dinobots... well you know.
Personally not really no. Grew up with BW not G1, so for most of my life G1 guys were just names I was told offhand and never let it come into my enjoyment of Beast Wars. So if this is connected with anything, I'd like updated toys of Beast Wars characters or even Beast Machines characters. Because 3rd party sure as shit ain't ever going to do that.
If it's a new Beast transformers series, keep G1 out of it. Let the beast wars cast shine on their own.
I much rather leave the G1 era names to vehicle transformers. Unless its something like Grimlock or Kickback, then I think that would fit more. I mainly want to see new stuff, not G1 nods or classic BW nods, just something different. That's what made BW great, it had its own characters. I want a possible new Beast Era to have that as well.
The fandom seems so polarised over this! Personally, I eagerly anticipate to see what it's all going to amount to.
I'd prefer to see something new, with new characters, but I wouldn't mind g1 characters. Maybe do something like hearts of steel just with a western theme. Make optimus an actual convoy as in a buffalo with a wagon and a powermaster to drive the wagon. Someone could be a horse. Prowl could be a wolf, etc etc. Astrotrain as a train, soundwave as something delivery related that dispenses messanger pidgeons, megatron could be an old style cannon or something. Edit: ooh, city formers that turn into western forts
I'd rather they use the G1 archetypal characters, but start a whole new story from scratch, without tying it in to any of the other continuities. I also hope the designs of the alt modes are mechanical in nature. I don't want them to be organic-looking beasts that transform into robots. That's what always turned me off about Beast Wars.
Well, I'm throwing a dance party over here. Who's with me? The thought of a new line of beastformers with modern engineering techniques make me a happy plastic fiend.
Same here, for me this is like a beam of sun light blasting though a black stormy sky. Just a hint of hope is better then no hope.

Agreed. Some G1 characters in a sideline like lassics is awesome but I'm sick and tired of the constant character reuses. IF this beast hunters stuff actually IS Transformers related give me some new characters. Nice updates to classic Beast Wars characters here and there like Rhinox or Inferno would be great but I'm bored of Transformers at this point since it's been the same damn characters in EVERY series for the last five years.
Beast Wars was a sad time for me. I love animal transformers... As long as they look like ROBOT animals.
