As a cancer survivor, this is how I feel. Having the fear of it coming back is always in the back of my mind, and it sucks.
With everything good comes something bad... I hear: increased STD carrier per population... Population boom... a stronger strand or new STD... situation based on I Am Legend. Wait for outcome.
I was going to post this yesterday man "science isn't for pussies"(that would have been the thread tittle).
It is interesting that in just about 30 years *give or take a few* that we have reached this point in AIDS research. It is a good thing to know. and with all the other breakthroughs we have had recently- my fave being the use of pig blood cells to fight diabetes- i feel better about the future. all we gotta do now is whoop the Big C!

This is good news. Cancer I assume would be a tougher nut to crack, seeing as how there's so many types. But I live in hope that I may see an end to it in my lifetime.
Finding a way to prevent or cure any disease is a good thing. Finding a cure for one is no more important than finding a cure for another. They all need to be prevented or cured.
Vaccines are preventative not a wonder cure they have to test it on people who don't have it and are in a high risk of getting it ie. if they have a lover with the disease etc. Ethics man, ethics.
