Hmm... later on they quote Transformers as being one of their top cartoons so... nah i'm not too worried.

Not really. Transformers is a viable brand and will eventually find a new home somewhere else. The majority of programming on Cartoon Network is unwatchable. If it isn't imported, incomprehensible Japanese anime, it's mindless, dumbed-down American cartoons. Their Adult Swim block is pretty good, though. Life goes on.

I'm not worried. It's only a rumour, probably down to this merger of the different sections. Hasbro probably knew about this possibility a while before this leaked and has already either dealt with it or is dealing with it.

I don't watch CN anymore until 1030 pm. They just need to switch to Adult Swim all the time.

Animated is a major show for CN, and since the popularity TF have gathered lately, they will find a way to air it.

    Ditto.

CN needs a major revamp, and honestly I could care less about animated.
It'd be cooler if had gone to the CW saturday morning block.

Has CN even finished airing all the eps of the last two IMO terrible TF shows? If it does air we know the routine, air some eps, hiatus, then show the same 5 eps over and over at 5:30am, then show the remaining on eps on Saturday one time only 4 months later.

CN has sucked ass for about 10 years now, and each year gets worse. Adult Swim is the only thing worth watching and even that now is 50% crap. They just need to fire who ever is in charge and bring back who was running it back then.

WB11? Either them or no one.

And I don't think it'd be a bad thing. In my opinion, pokemon isn't even worth watching anymore; it's just not the same as the good 'ol days.

Ash's new voice actor sucks. Raspy voice FTL.

Ash has always been voiced by a woman. The original US dub VA is in her 30's.

But aside from the nitpick, this CN revamp is nothing more than rumor at this stage. Observing their ratings patterns and how the network has changed to suit demographics (showing live-action movies, and other programming that includes live-action like CCF and Fried Dynamite), I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the network undergo a major change within the next two years. But it will likely be something like changing the name to just "CN" and they'll have a blend of live-action and animated programming, but I imagine it will lean more heavily on the live-action.

Adult Swim has performed well and I imagine it would survive whatever revamp CN does, but I also expect it to include live-action programming.

As a lifelong animation fan, I hate it. But it's just not possible for a 100% animated network to survive and be financially successful in today's TV market.

If you were a kid, you'd like Cartoon Network. Perhaps you think that it was better before because you were actually in the target audience at the time?

Seriously, it's not that Cartoon Network is getting worse. It's that you are getting older.

They don't know any better! It's not that they like it, it's a lack of options, forced on them & they have no choice. Just compare how awesome the cartoons & toy lines were back in the 80's to how shitty they are these days. I'm sure kids these days would prefer the 80's but time travel just ain't an option.

Are you being sarcastic? Cartoons these days are just as good, if not better. And toys have gotten much better than in the 80s.
