I've had this for quite a few years now, as the packaging shows, and was wondering if someone could help me find out whether this is a legit variant/ foreign release of Braver or if it is a Bootleg.

I got this guy at a Flea Market a while back, and only purchased it because it was on card. The card has both english and French language on the illustrated side, while on the reverse it has the japanese language instructions.

Being a GiJoe collector as well, I have seen many strange things like this, but being a transformer I figured I should ask the experts.

Here are some images of the culprit:

[IMG] sorry about the reverse side photos, they just didnt want to come out.

it looks as if some one took the back end of an 87 transformer's box and glued the fake toy's bubble to it... :lol

It's funny this pops up now, as someone is trying to sell one of the same bootlegs (in even worse condition) on ebay for $100, saying it's legit G1, and from the "first wave before the dinobots".

There are bootleg collectors out there, maybe one of them would want it.

Are all those logos stickers ? or painted on ? All I know for sure is, that thing is awesome. Old or new, whoever made it was pretty ballsy putting on some of those names lol..

I almost want one for sheer rawness ^^

it looks like a KO. I use to buy several KO TF toys in manhattan that looked similar to this in both toy & packaging. I don't own anymore Ko's TF's as I sold e'm all years ago.

Those stickers are for real stickers, the only pain on it is on top of the windshield.

Yeah, I figured it was a boot from the get go, but it was only 2 bucks so I wasnt really complaining. I just wanted to get 100% affirmation on the situation. I had already seen the pictures of the "real" one, but one thing you have to say with toys is that from country to country there are some ridiculous variations and packaging. Thus you just gotta check y'know?

this being a ko and how old the package looks, it'll probably just crumple to pieces when you open it.

You could well be right, well the packaging may disintegrate at least. The figure could last for a hot minute I would say.
