I'm working on a way to give Quickmix some much needed articulation with turnable head, elbows, knees, shoulder and hip balljoints. Last night I chopped him and a joint donor up and I'm going to work more on him this weekend.

The question is: does anyone want a step-by-step of this? Then I can take pictures before I start fitting it all together. This is a seriously cheap figure to make but then again, who else in their right mind would want a posable Quickmix? :D

No pictures yet, but I'm aiming for recreating his G1 box art...

Hey, Quickmix is fun. I'd love to see how you make him poseable, considering how much of his gubbins are fused together. Take pics, take pics! :D

I've always been curious as to how to do this. There's many a G1 I'd like to update with joints. I'd like to see some step by step pics with what materials where used.

While I'm not specifically interested in Quickmix, a step-by-step of how to do something like this would be nice. It would definetly help with some kitbashes.

It's coming along... I had some trouble earlier today with the legs (it wouldn't survive a stress test on the joints) but it should be fine now. At least I've made all the mistakes so I can warn you about them. Spray painting the white pieces now.

Okay, he's complete, save for some (gentle) stress tests. I'll do a regular photo shoot of the finished figure and then put together a guide... mostly with things someone else could do better :)

Dammit. The waist wouldn't hold together. I need to rethink this.

At work now, so no pics. I'm having trouble glueing the hip piece to the bottom of his torso. I had it modelled with green stuff which tore off when I applied super glue on top of it, so now I've glued on a separate piece to his torso and stripped off the surplus green stuff. Now I just need to go buy more glue.
