I hear by initiate the great debate betwixt Robots and Ponies.

However, before heads are torn, and trolls flock the battlefield I want to say my peace, and state the rules.

My Little Pony, a franchise that is intended for girls, and females.

It has every appeal that any young girl may wish for. Ponies, manes, and cutiemarks.

Now, why is that there are bronies, and why do they plague the internet?

Simple. Lauren Faust.

Ever hear of the Cartoon Network show PowerPuff Girls? Wasn't it the most badass thing ever? Yes? That show was intended for girls.

Ms.Lauren Faust was one of the writers for PowerPuff Girls. I rest my case.

Now, Ladies and Gentleman. The rules:

1) This is like fight club. Nobody speaks of Ponythread 2012, and no one gets hurt.

Something like that. Honestly, the show isn't that big of a deal as much as pony fans make it, as it doesn't hold up as an appeal to me as the bronies do. However, for sake of opinion I have watched the first season and a couple episodes of Second. Honestly the show itself is a little lack luster due to the fact that they nix the villian straight from the get go, so there really isn't any point to the show, except the whole... learning a lesson aspect, however even then.

This isn't going to end well and also it seems very dickish that if someone has a negative opinion on the show, fandom and franchise you will "fix" their post. Also, what is the point in this? We have 1 in the toy ark and 1 in the movie and television forum whenever a MLP thread Is made here it ends in "I DUN LIEK MUH LEETLE PONNE!!" and locked!

 

My Little Pony is a cute show. While it's targeted fanbase is little girls, the show is written to appeal to the parents, too, so they can enjoy it with their daughter(s). Because of this, it can also appeal to people without children. There is definitely some content in this show aimed at an older audience("looks like the punch has been... SPIKED!"). Another reason it appeals to so many people is its' FANTASTIC animation.

I am a Brony. I am proud to be a Brony. I will love and tolerate the shit outta you.
