I decided that since people seemed to like RB: Parallax, I'd ask if people wanted me to continue it, or focus exclusively on Warring At Play for now? I have a backstory already prepared, and I know where I'm going to go with the story if I did continue it. So I'll leave it to a vote.
I definitely would like to see more of it, but WaP is still my priority. But honestly, I'd read any comic you make even if it's just Hot Rod and Barricade going to a Shinki strip club.
Well, depends on whether or not you think you can handle doing two comics. But since you're still a bit slow on WaP, your main comic, I think you should just focus on that for now.
I'm new and like WaP. I would say do RB: Parallax when your feeling burnout and want to recharge doing WaP.
I chose the fourth option, and I'll tell you why: Warring at Play has become a dead horse, and you never cease to beat it. At first, it was fresh and new, with definite rules, like the ones you used for your Transformers. BT/Alts/MP only, and to great merit. The characters were ripped straight from the canon, the story was a bit strange, but explained how there was a house in the background. Some of the best comic scenes on TFW took place in this time. Prowl surfing Prime's trailer, Ravage attacking Optimus, the Hydradread exchanges, sheer gold, all of them. Then you started breaking your rules by introducing any Transformer with vaguely recognizable limbs. The quality of your work took a severe nose dive, and it spread like a cancer. So you did what any writer would do, try to save the story by creating a huge hyped event. The Crate Slaughter, you called it. Those characters died, yes, but symbolically it was your comic that was dying. Your comic needed help, and fast. So you stole characters from other comics, most notably my Strarf. Ever noticed how my comic died after she left? SHE WAS THE PREMIER LOAD-BEARING CHARACTER! Now she's in your comic, and I'm left with nothing! That was the only good thing I had, and you stole it!! Even that's not so bad. I mean, I remember when you used to update once a month or whatever. Then you groveled to your fans and promised that you'd update every Friday. That lasted almost a whole week. The only positive outcome of that was the dross came in small, nearly-palatable chunks. Then, if your pathetic failure at maintaining your update schedule wasn't bad enough, you had the GALL to beg people for money. You've completely lost your integrity, and now you're CHARGING people for more of the same poorly written slop you used to give them for FREE. You're like every other hack webcomic writer out there who's discovered the Paypal donate button, except with less talent. WHEN'S IT GONNA END, YOU HACK?!?!?
lol, CH be trollin But in all seriousness. I'd like if that Parallax comic continued, though I miss the days when I wouldn't have to leave TFW to read the majority of your comics, Pol. Just saying. I voted the first option, by the way.
Oh good i hoped he was joking...... Ya i do hope it continues but i want to see the start of wap's new arc now...... I voted option two.
Pol, I think you should do what you want to do. That's quite something you cooked up, Chaos. Careful with humor like that, though, because sometimes people take it seriously, and then we get fights. (Of course, username and role and all that. ) Aw, I got the sense that your comic was poised on the brink of something really powerful. A real lingering dread...I hope you're planning to continue it soon!
Ha ha, yeah... I just need to come up with about $200 worth of tables and lights and magnets and cords first. Though, in my comic's favor, I was so worked up last night about needing to make something. If I had the arrangement, I would have shot the whole thing last night. But I got nothin. Maybe I'll draw a picture of Strarf instead.
I had to go with option 2. Though, I can understand that the work schedule might allow for Parallax a lot more than it can WaP. I just hate to see it go by the wayside. Honestly, any good story you put together and present to us I think I'll be happy with. Maybe a decent back and forth so long as WaP doesn't suffer too much.
*cough cough* Huh, oh what? Oh right.... I enjoyed Parallax and would like to see more but I would like to seem some WAP more often than now and then. So I went for Option 2.
I'm clearly in the minority that voted for option 1. I find that my creativity comes and goes like a boomerang and that having a side project can help me get out of a rut or give me something else to do if I don't feel like working on the first thing. Just do what feels right man, I love WaP but Parallax is awesome too
I had to vote "as long as it doesn't slow down WaP". I miss the complicated story... Granted, the break's let me get caught up on other comics & work on my own... But I'm not sure if I can handle Parallax & WaP if both are complex. I did like Parallax, but I like Warring at Play more, & miss the 'Misadventures of Strarf & Arnval' ... You can't just leave Arnval in that coma! & it looks like I need to check the Funnies Forum more often than I do... Lately, I've been sticking to my Subscription page for when things are updated.
