As others have said, I frequently handle mine and they get a lot of play in the sense of being transformed, posed etc., but I don't run around the house making noises and stuff.

    At least, not often. :D

    Hell yes!

I spend time almost every day posing, rearranging them into scenes, battles, etc. They get transformed regularly, though not as often and very carefully since I don't want them to lose too much value.

I've been getting into photography too, which is a great way of getting play value out of my toys.

I would feel cheated if they were done once they were transformed once and put on display. The ability to get ongoing enjoyment is what lets me justify the high cost of these toys.

As to question 2... I'm undecided. There are quite a lot of characters in the 3 seasons + movie and I like things from all of them. I think I'm just going to get characters that I like and create a head canon to make it work.

Rarely, I barely ever have the time with my job. I can go for months inbetween video game levels as well. Seems like every time I finally get around to playing a a game again, they force me to wait 30 minutes downloading a new update.

I transform them a few times over a couple of days. Do a video review. Pose them, then place them on the shelf. They probably don't get touched again until I need a size comparison for another review.

I'll occasionally take them out and transform them and such for the kids to see but sadly they're too fragile for smashing together style of play and they take too long to transform back and forth for it too. On the other hand my Combiner Wars Megatron is perfect for all kinds of fun. :)

This... of course I've been known to do some "pew pew" with my son, but I ended up getting him his own Rescue Bot/RID 3 Steppers for Christmas so I can "pew pew" without fear of ruining my MPs.

Some I do re-arrange/pose a lot, but most of my collection I transform them a few times to figure out how it's done. Then they go under glass and just get posed every now and then. However, my Dibots and Primes get played with. My son loves them :)  Around my house my daughter coined him "Optimus Brian" because she couldn't say "Prime" at the time.

I mostly fiddle around with them and transform them more than once. I also like rolling the ones with wheels around because it looks cool.

Though my Soundwave took a beating after I foolishly let my younger cousins play with him. Now most of his paint is all scratched up and Laserbeak broke.

where's the write in other option for they're stuck in a box under review? MPOP, SS, Megs were transformed a lot during my 07-09 deployment and helped with my sanity but after 09 those 3 kinda died and Rodimus just kinda got stared at and died in a box with the other 4 and then TRU MPOP/SW are just sitting lifeless in a box and the craziest part is i'm not bothered or care, my non-MP TFs though get my attention and are displayed

I fiddle w my MPs periodically. Probably 2-3 times a week I pick one up and fiddle/transform/repose.

But I gawk at them nearly EVERYDAY. They look so damn good!

Over a hundred votes in, it's pretty 50/50 split between "rarely-to-never" answers vs "sometimes-to-lots" answers. That's interesting, it's more "play" responses than I expected.

(I "play" with my MPs lots, myself)

So I only have one, but I definitely play with him. Not intensely.

I plan on collecting more, but yeah, I really focus on G1 stuff, seasons one and two, and the movie really are about it for me most of the time.

I don't play with any of my figures really, not even the CHUGS. I'll take one or two out of the display room to my Living Room to view or fiddle with, but not really transform or whatever.

But, occasionally I do get the urge. And in all honesty, I've messed with Magnus, Tracks and Bluestreak (18-B) more than any of them, Tracks probably most of all followed by Magnus, those are both so fun to Transform. I don't doubt Ironhide will be as well.

I vary between Sometimes and Frequently. I rotate which TFs I keep handy. I will transform others randomly, but when it is at hand it is frequently.

Is there a distinction between transforming & trying a few poses in robot mode vs playing with them? :)
