I'd like to see this poll that Goaliebot outlined, so here's the first question.
No. But to be fair, I don't play with CHUGs either.
Nope not a buy them for
I may repose them now and then but that's it.
Depends on what you think "Play" means.
It's certainly different from when I was a kid. I'm not flying them around the house with these wild stories in my head yelling "Pyew! Pyew! Die, Autobot scum!"
They are TOYS! Of course I do. I lent MP Soundwave to my cousin and she tracked him through the mud. I was perfectly fine, because that's what he was built for.
Yes I play with my MP toys. I have kids so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it
You better fuckin believe I do! They get in the mix with me and my 5 yr olds playtime.
As per second question......
Yea, I may be done once I get my core Ark/Nemesis characters. Maybe a couple stragglers here and there, definitely no '86 movie cast(but that's what I say now).
Yes. If I didn't actually enjoy them, I would not buy them.
I don't really like the word "play". Not sure what the correct word would be, but I frequently transform them and even pull a bunch out and set up displays in the middle of the living room floor. I don't do the kid method of playing where they talk to each other and then repeatedly get slammed into each other to simulate fighting.
My 'play' involves transforming, posing, arranging them in displays, even zooming and swooshing the alt modes around the house. But when my daughter and I play with them it's the fullest meaning of the word. Bases are set up, armadas are formed, missions are carried out, characters talk to each other, fight, make up, etc. I love it.
I transform them once then on to display. I don't play with them like a kid do with a new toy.
I fiddle with them when i first open them. Then onto the display they go. I might occasionally feel the urge to fiddle with them again...but it's rare as I'm always afraid I'm going to break something.
I don't play with many of my figures whether they're CHUG or MP, so, usually once they're transformed a few times I don't usually mess with any of them regardless of the line.
But, occasionally the urge hits me and I mess with them. Many times I'll pull one or two to stand on my Living Room table to look at. So, while not playing with them as a kid would, I still admire them and take them out to look at.
Besides, I play with my Son and his Transformers.
Pretty much yes. They're too gorgeous not to handle and have fun with for me. Even MP5 and Apollyon I've gone and transformed multiple times. Surprisingly I haven't touched Star Saber that much who is the epitome of fun but that's cuz he's posed with a figma and it's a nice scene I don't (currently) want to break up.
Out of curiosity, how have they held up to being played with by a kid? I don't think the MPs are any more or less fragile than many HasTak car bots over the years, but I do wonder if they're more vulnerable to paint chipping.
My son likes to play with them and I will join in to make sure they are handled and transformed gently and nicely
It is called playing when you look at them for more than 1 min, pose them, transform them, rearrange/dust them, take pictures of them. Don't be ashamed of the word play or toys.
Mine have held up just fine and I haven't noticed any paint chipping. I think it depends on the kid and how they play. My daughter is 4 but she's careful for the most part and she doesn't smash things together.
