I love this film. It's difficult to say which is better, this one or the first one. You can't beat the sense of wonder in the first film, but this one has Carly. <3

I loved it, and although it was no masterpiece, I did think it was a fairly decent movie, for a Michael Bay film, anyway. It had a great story, decent acting, incredible effects, and epic action. It's definitely a better movie than ROTF, and better than TF07, in my opinion.

Loved it. Fans wanted robot screen time, and now we got them I spades. Scenes of just robot talking with no humans such as african camp and sentinel talking to optimus was fantastic, and just as op said, once the betrayal is set in place, the robots doesn't leave the screens at at all. The only thing sticking out is the short ending, and more diaglpue btw sentinel and op would have justified the exeuction better. Deep Wang is fine, compared to the dog shagging, leg humping of rotf

Simple. Because the movies don't pander to what they expect of Transformers.

I felt like it lacked something. I enjoyed it but it didn't have a certain something that the other two did have...I cant really explain it. Perhaps i just missed certain characters i felt should have featured, perhaps i found the edit sloppy...But i just prefer the first one and ROTF.

I enjoyed it, but not because it was a "good" film. More because it was the best of the worst, so...

I think I like DotM more now that I've seen it a couple more times, but I still don't think it was as good as it could have been.

I like it, and it is a good movie overall, although there are things in it that piss me off.

Yes I liked the movie, and yes, I thought it was good too. Though I can agree with your complaints about it too.

Ditto. I might as well just repost what I said in the "I have seen DOTM" thread to give my pros and cons about the movie.

Of course, that was all back in July. I've pretty much gotten past the "ZOMG THIS MOVIE SUX" nerdrage fan phase and gone to the "Nothing I can do about it, might as well live with it" phase.

It's an improvement over ROTF, but it still can't compete with the reveal and introductions in the first movie.

I think also the character of Sam is pretty annoying moreso in this one. In the first movie, his whining and vocal personality fit because he was a teenager: we've all been whiny, moody teenagers at one point (or are going to be).

Though I'll chalk up some of my dislike to a couple things:
    1) Loud, often-annoying characters. Wang, Malkovich, and lots and lots of yelling. It feels like everyone is yelling just to be noticed in place of the giant robots.

    2) Megatron's 'brilliant scheme.' It only makes sense if you don't look too deeply into it.

    3)

    Positives:

    1) 'Chicago is Ground Zero.' - It's kind of morbid to consider I enjoyed this, but given that Chicago is often sidelined in the case of any global disaster, it was nice to see us get the 'treatment' generally afforded L.A. or New York. The downside is the building I work at didn't even get touched...so that means I'll still have to come into work. :p

    2) Epps- Of all the Military characters, I felt he really came into his own with DOTM. Epps seemed to really befriend the Autobots moreso than Lennox. Plus, Tyrese really sells that line, 'Because that @$$hole killed my friends, too.'

    3) We got to know each of the Autobots a bit more- in ROTF, it felt the majority of the Autobots were just background set-dressing.

    FREAKIN THIS.
Shockwave was made a pussy. I mean, he really couldn't just yank the human off him and throw him aside?? And that guy fell 40 feet onto a car, on his back, and was completely fine afterwards.

If they wanted a human to help take down shockwave, they shoulda used Lennox while he was in his glider suit. Not some random guy who was never even named.

I enjoyed it, I liked the score and Prime's scenes and lines better in Rotf. With that said, The movie wrapped up the trilogy nicely.

This move excelled at being disappointing and a high-profile embarrassment.

    Trilogy? What trilogy?

Three movies does not a trilogy make.

What was the continuing story that links these movies together?

Real trilogies: original Star Wars, Star Trek II-III-IV, Lord of the Rings.
