Todays Island Scan gave me a Honedge.
Poke Poleago gave me a Poliwag that was a Level 53 which I used a rare candy on to get Poliwhirl.
And I had a Pikipek sitting in my PC from Poke Poleago and a few Wonder Trades later I finally got something I didn't have... Pichu.

 

What the heck is an Island Scan? Does it come later in the game? I've only started my copy of Moon and am at Akala at the moment about to start the first Trial. Wonder Traded a Mankey this morning for a Pikachu Cosplaying Ghost, heh, anyway so far the game seems to be interesting and quite enjoyable. I'm looking forward to more exploration.

Chose Litten, Don't have much of a team yet, like the looks of the new bird type though and have had it around Pikipek now Trumbeak.

I haven't even attempted the new Z-Power function yet.

Playing at night during the day is really off putting, I sure hope there aren't any events in-game that will require me to be up at 2AM or something just to get it. (And no I'm not messing with my DS clock to trick the game, it'll screw up my X and AS games.)

 

managed to get Feebas and Bruxish. going to go after Mareanie next. added Turtornator to my squad and dropped salazzle. caught a second and traded it on the GTS for Drampa.

 

caving and buying a 3ds/dsi bundle off ebay. it comes with omega ruby so i guess i'm playing that and then getting sun later lol

 

basically you use the QR scanner to get points to island scan for pokemon outside the alolan pokedex. you can scan 10 times every twentyfour hours with each yealding 10 points that when gathered to 100, enables you to scan. you have to hunt the pokemon down in the specific area given within an hour before it disappears....i'd advise you to get all the areas on the island before going hunting, because it could show up somewhere you can't get to..

i did my first one today and got serperior.

Haha, thanks! I mean it's not the first shiny I've gotten in S/M, just really excited for it.   Right now I have a Barboach, Cutiefly, Dhelmise, and working towards a Jangmo-o now. Here's hoping it doesn't take as many eggs as the Dhelmise did...

WHY CAN'T I FIND SLOWPOKE? i fought one in the first playthrough, but i didn't catch it.....and i've been trying for an hour and nothing but wingull

 

Well I just wasted my time. No shiny. Had to quit the sos method because all of my pokemon moves were used up.

 

See, I just breed for shinies, wild encounters are too tedious for me haha. Before the Barboach in this game that I encountered out of nowhere, I haven't gotten a wild shiny since Platinum; got a Starly and a Pelipper.

me and seantf1967 battle a bit. first round without legends/UB, second with nothing but. i somehow won the first round without much loss (he's really good, i just got lucky) and the second round he knocks me down to just buzzwoll agaist 4 of his legends. i started to get extremely lucky and knocking his out with dynamic punch! we get to the last one of his, and my connection just quits....GAH!

we're gonna try again tomorrow
