OKAY. This is completely random, but when they hook up the computer to the radio... is that even possible? I fail at electronics, and I was wondering if it is something that could actually be done. Or maybe I just took a movie about alien robots too seriously.

With the right knowledge, and the right tools, I think it's possible. In the end, it's just a movie that's meant to be enjoyed, not analized to death like some people have (not directed at you or any peticular person).

It is possible as far as I know, though don't ask me how to do it. The only mistake in that scene was that Glen was about to take apart theback of the computer moniter, rather than the computer itself.

I'm pretty sure it's possible. I have no idea how to do it etc. But my time in RDAF (Royal Danish Air Force) we tried a lot of crazy stuff, and some tech geeks managed to hook up some an ancient 50'ties comm's equipment to run via mobile phone etc.
