And it is! I played around with a complete one at RoboGames this year. It's great!

It definetly is NOT fake. I saw it skate and do all those neat skating tricks at RoboGames. I even got to try it myself. PLEN sure is a fun little guy.

Weld knives to its hands and send it after children.

    No. That would be wrong.

    I fixed it.

Don't worry, I wouldn't actually send a knife wielding robot after children.

Unless they wouldn't get off of my lawn.

2500 USD, unfortunately. I think it's worth it, though. It's the only robot that is so small but can do everything that a larger robot can, and more.

    EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UesEixffyqs :lol

I've wanted a kit like that for a couple years, but $2500 is out of the question. I'll just have to wait until they get much, much cheaper - in like 10 years.

Clever little thing, I'm surprised I haven't heard of it before.

As I'm not up on this could someone tell me if it has any form of inbuilt intelligence or is it simply mimiciking input commands the entire time?...

It is controlled through a computer. I believe it has gyros to help keep it's balance, though.

    EDIT: More pictures!
