I'm looking at finally jumping on this system. Can you help me out on the various versions that exist right now? Is it basically storage capacity and backwards compatability that makes these different (as listed on XBOX.com)? Will they ever have a version with a built-in HD DVD player?

No you most certainly cannot play Mario Galaxy on a 360... but that doesn't answer his question.

How important is HD space for this? I know in general more is better, but is it necessary for a gaming system?

Not having a HD is stupidity, but i've personally found that the 20 is ample if you are only using it for gaming. Milage may vary if you play allot of games with big DLC or buy vast quantaties of XBLA titles thougth and I wouldent be happy with it if I was using the system for media purposes.

It depends on how you are using your system for. If you are going to connect to Xbox live and download arcade games and movies, then yes Hard drive space is important. But if your not going to purchase that content or if your not going to connect to XBL at all, then you dont need to worry about HD space.

I didn't know they had XBOX 360 up in Canada. Do you have enough outlets in your Igloo for it? :lol

That's a good question. Perhaps you could field this one Mr. "Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba".

Who isn't ahead of you? :p  :duel

As for the igloo... it has enough power since I got the extra dogs.

I'm leaning towards the 20 gig model. I'll have to see what sales pop up closer to Christmas though.

why would you get a core version when it doesn't come with a memory card or the Arcade games and costs the same?
