Just got home from Wal-Mart and needless to say, I'm very happy.

I saw the big pile of unstocked Transformers at the end cap of the toy isle. I waited patiently until an employee came over there to start stocking it and told him I'd be semi-stalking him tonight. He asked me what I needed and proceeded to bury out the new Universe assortments and help me find a thrust out of the deluxe boxes.

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff and here I am looking at my new RoTF Thrust, and Universe Hardhead and Skyfall. (He just told me not to worry about the street date on the new universes and just say I found them on the shelf.

Sure Fury of the Fearswoop is there too, but I didn't want to bug him any more.

A Wal-Mart employee dropped a box on my head my last visit.

I had finally seen an Ice Cream Truck in person, one left, and I was on my way to pick it off the peg. When I came to, the Ice Cream Truck was gone, and the employee that knocked me onto the ground with his incompetence was panicking. He was saying sorry over and over and asked if there was anything he could do to help me, and I screamed "Find me that got-dang ice cream truck!"

Suffice to say, I did not leave thinking I had a pleasant experience, and the Ice Cream Truck once again eluded me...

I really don't have anything bad to say about my Wal-mart...all the employees (at least the night ones) are college students and decently cool people. I'm also in a small town where half the population are college students...I don't see any scalpers! Everything I want basically sits on the shelf for me until I want to buy it.

It's always a nice fuzzy feeling when you get a nice trip at your local store.

Nah, the guy was alright. I've worked retail for years, and shit's slipped from my grasp up on the ladder before, too. I didn't drop anything on a customer, but it's cool. I was just pissed I SAW the damn pink truck and then it was gone.

    Again.

One of the employee at the door said "Hi" to me when I walked in one time, does that count?

I'm surprised you found a Walmart associate working in toys that knew what a "Transformer" was.

Hell, these days, if you don't get to the store on truck night, yer askin' for a missed opportunity.
Less than a day online and TFU Powerglide is sold out?
    day-um, that's bad.

there are a few WM employees left to make the day better, but they are elusive like the ICT's, lol.

I think I am gonna have to make a midnight run tomorrow night to see if these things are out.

Walmarts are really hit and miss, and I think a lot of it has to do with the age of the store. The two in my town are either new or newly renovated, and the employees are incredible. They dive into pallets for me, open boxes upon request, have sold Joes to me before the street date on the box, and just been overall helpful and pleasant. But up north we have two "Ghetto-marts". Old ones in rundown areas where there are never employees, decent stock, and a lack of clenliness with both the store and customers. Some clowns at one Walmart used inside information (employee researched the pickup schedule) to pull off a shooting of a bank guard who was picking up the cash from inside. I am just glad I live in a city where the Walmarts are clean, safe, and have good employees.

Glad to see you got the loot.

I had a pleasant walmart experience. I was walking up to the front doors and bam! The doors opened for me. They even did the same when I left! :)

I've had a simillar experience at Walmart. When the ROTF toys first came out, I was hunting for a Sideswipe, but there weren't any on the display. An employee asked if she could help me (gasp) and I told her what I was looking for. She then directed me to a pallet full of TF boxes and proceeded to open every one until she found me what I was looking for. She had to open at least 6 or 7 boxes before I spotted it. I was so shocked/surprised/happy that I found a manager and told him about the exeptional level of customer service from one of the employees (forgot the lady's name) I hope she got a raise and a promotion!
