I was looking forward to Home before. But if more games support fun features like these, it will be something I use a lot more than I initially expected to.

    Big news.

It sure makes Home sound like something consumers will want.
    I know I want it!

Damn that sounds amazing!!! I was running around Uncharted last night showing the graphics to a friend. But this sounds even better. You hear that, Smasher, you need a PS3 now, so we can play some Resistance 2

I will prolly get one when the MGS bundle comes out.
But, I see one in the seminear future.

I hope all this Home goodness makes MS make Live more cool, which will in turn make Sony add cool new things to home, which will...

Wow, those are some really cool features. If this stuff is why it took so long, it will be worth it.

Press A to make Home awesome!

Presses 'A' but ends up taking cover behind the sofa instead.

(No one tell me that the Sony controller does not have an 'A' button -kthx.)

This might be a dumb question, and I'm at work and too lazy to really look, but what is this "Playstation Home" thing? I have a PS3 but don't have the internet at home so I really don't know all that much about it's online capabilities as of yet.

Well, that puts it over the top for me. I love it when they let you enjoy levels without fighting, and just explore. I'll be getting a PS3 when my tax return comes in.

    PS3 controllers don't have A... They have X instead... "Press X, Twin-Twist, Pesss X"

It's like a Virtual world, sort of. You make an avatar and interact with others... Kinda like Sims, but a bit more robust. You get your own apartment, and you can use images stored in your PS3 as photos for your wall. You can stream video from your PS3 into the virtual TVs in the world, play pool in their little gaming place, bowling, and get together and plan gaming events in people's apartment. There's a bit more to it than that (ie. displaying achievement trophies in your apartment) and a hall of fame in the theater room.

...that sounds awesome. Really makes me wish I could afford a PS3, but I'm still waiting for more games that I'm interested in. And money.

yeah technically we could, with voice chat and everything. We could watch the Movie too, just not HD or anything like that. We should definitely do that when it comes out.

Whenever it's ready. No solid date yet. Closest they've given us was "Q1 2008" for an 'Open Beta', but I doubt that'll even see fruition.

Dudes, we can totally MST3K movies and 'toons!
