I guess it would depend on two factors:

1. Is the initial release selling for a ridiculous price that no one in his right mind would pay?

2. Is the release in some goofy color scheme that no one really wants?

 

I don't know if this is the right thread to be talking about this, I just thought because it was Platinum. Any prediction about Year of the Rooster Optimus? I can't recall and Optimus Prime toys involving Chickens or recall any flying Optimus Prime toys.

What's up with this Unicron. I'm not seeing it on the Hasbro website. I usually like to make big transformers purchases at places like target or toysrus etc. Anyone buy one yet? Or has anyone done business with robot kingdom? I missed out on the last Unicron and I'll pay the $170 for it in a heartbeat I just wanna make sure it's 1000% legit!!!!

I've done plenty of business with Robot Kingdom. They sell legit products, and 3rd party. If it says "Hasbro" or "Takara", rest assured, it's legit. 

 

Im sure if u wait awhile u will see him. And pay way less. Hiw many ver's have they made? Plus a commission can trun out 86 movie perfect with green led. Good luck!

I'd maybe switch out my Armada Unicron with this one for the right price, but $170 isn't the right price. Here's hoping for a deep discount down the road!

 

You will never find this in a store, its an online platinum exclusive. I think its a BBTS exclusive in the US, so you can get it there:

these guys are legit and the shipping will be much cheaper than Robot Kingdom if you live in northamerica

 

Most of the Platinum releases hit brick and mortar Canadian TRU stores, if not all of them.

 

I was writing about the US. Also, not all platinum releases are available in Canada. Canada never got the Platinum Blaster and Perceptor set and Trypticon was never found at brick and mortar, neither the Optimus and Megatron set.
