Is this figure meant to go with MP or CHUG?

 

This is IDW Deathsaurus, not G1. People need to give up on the idea that everything has to be G1. KFC will release the G1 version next time.

 

One thing for sure, I like the hands proportion of PX Ismenios... MMC's hand is way too big, I have no idea why it was designed like that.

 

Big hands are accurate to the source material. The main problem, if anything, is that his head is a little too small. Rest of the proportions are basically correct.

 

It might be accurate to "IDW " source material, but MMC version also targets G1 fans, so the huge hands are definitely out of proportion there.

When will MMC fans just accept that MMC's version is neither IDW nor G1? That's why you have this "problem".

You want IDW, get this one. You want G1, just get the KFC one. Simba (Victory Leo)'s quality is great, no doubt it will be the same for Deathsaurus.

 

I disagreed. Since I didn't read comic, so not too sure if MMC version is IDW accurate enough. But MMC provides 2 versions, the Reformatted 42C D-Zef Continuum is clearly targeted at G1 version with 2 breast masters, mace guns, etc.
While xtrasbot's version haven't reveal and details yet.

He looks awesome and I really appreciate Planet X's quality. I will be getting this one for my collection for sure!

 

MMC's versions are never targeted to anything but to maximize the reuse of a mold. Just like their Overlord. Even if KFC's version has not been revealed yet, based on their history, the mold will be spot on. But hei, that's why there's this word called "fan". it means justifying anything and everything. In that case just accept the big fists. Think of it as fanclub membership fee.

 

The "source material" was draw by three different artists. Only Sakamoto drew like that.



Plus, I don't see you bringing up how MMC's figure doesn't have extremely super bulky legs like in your picture. Cherry picking doesn't win you an argument.

 

I really like both version of Dezaras revealed so far, but I think MMC wins in the sculpt department. I really like this version's dragon mode, but the face just doesn't do much for me. I dunno, it's weird to suddenly have two amazing options for a character I never thought would get made into a toy, neither is a bad design.

Wrong, Milne originally designed Deathsaurus. Sakamoto's interpretation and aesthetic shouldn't be the default look.

 

Heres my 2 cents: just get what you want and stop thinking that you have to make everyone agree with you. We live in a democracy. A world that practices tolerance. If you can't enjoy what you like without having to make sure everyone agrees with you, you need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Everyone has different priorities, and has the right to make it known. But there's no need to take things personally.

Anyways, if you wanna make the hands that huge, at least make the legs proportional. D-zefs design choice is wayyy too stylised. Like most MMC continuum figures, anyway. But that's the whole point of the continuum line. It's meant to be stylised. Are you wrong to like it? No, of course not. Neither is ismenios 100% accurate, but it's more accurate anyways. And more proportional.  

 

I wasn't planning on getting this, but these images are making me reconsider.

 

At least D-Zef's head isn't a perfectly round dome with zero detail outside of the front.
