Here is what i believe to be his base mode. I give credit to "Shadezero" for posting this, i just put it together and it seems right. Everything lines up and pegs together.

    Pascal on Cybertron.ca posted this.

It is similar, but the foot position makes it a little bit lower.

    Looks pretty sweet.

yeah megatroptimus from here took that picture. The entire thing matches up except for the legs. I like mine up as i had them to show a more gantry sort of look for a rocket. I believe he likes his down to give more of an actual base look. Either way i think they look nice and it's just a matter of personal preference.

As mentioned elsewhere, I find my configuration more stable and less walker looking than shadezero's. Yours seem to lean forward a bit. The gantry look is still there, it's just sits a bit lower to accommodate the bulkier rocket.

Mine does look like it's leaning forward, but that's my fault, i didn't straighten him out fully...but i do see your point.

TBH, it must be just me, but I am not liking this guy that much. Maybe it is because I just got YOTS or that the want factor is not so high that I am willing to over look things.

But to me, it looks like the Transformation is real simple. Flop the legs down, pull the arms out and tab together. Nothing to it really.

Then you have the Bot mode which to me at least seems really annoying to pose. Put this hear to balance this. If not it topples over. For a $300 figure I am expecting some diecast in his legs to weigh him down. That should be the norm for these things now I think anyway.

Also, after Hercules, weak ratchets just drive me nuts.

On a positive, I like the G1 Base mode and it does look game accurate. I cannot spend $300 on it though. Especially since YOTS is out at a 3rd the price and we hope that Maketoys will make the add on set to it. Not to mention YOTS looks about the same size as him as well. Here is a shot I took earlier today to show the YOTS size:

So for me personally, just too much going against it to warrant that final price tag. Especially in a year such as this one where there is so much out there.

I just got around to actually watching this and Optibotimus, you're too hard on yourself. You did a very good job with this guy.

And your review has definitely pushed my want for this guy through the roof. The Year of the Snake Omega has an awful pair of vehicle modes and just doesn't look like a good figure to me. Genesis however looks amazing!

I really wish I could spare $300 at the moment as I would choose this over YOTS any day of the week.

You certainly don't sound like you've watched the video. The transformation is pretty intricate. All 4 limbs shift around the main body with several twists and turns. If you think the transformation is simple, then the transformation level for YOTS Omega is... nonexistent. Or something like -10. LOL!

Yeah, I am not saying YOTS has a complicated transformation either. Your right he is like a -10. Hahah. But I was expecting more from this tbh.

Not sure why, he is just not grabbing me. It could be the price point and the fact there are so many things out there this year.

On a slower year, I may have gone for this.

Hey Optibotimus, how does this thing compare height wise to Unicron?

BTW... that holding Hercules over the head or hold YOTS over the head this is over rated. YOTS can do the same thing. The hand is smaller on YOTS though, so it doesn't wrap around as easily:

I just pulled out the ole tape measure. Unicron is almost exactly 15 inches from the bottom of his feet to the tip of his horns on his head. Genesis is roughly 13 3/4 from feet to the top of his head. If i extend the horns on the side of Unicron (making him taller overall) he's 15 1/2 inches tall. Genesis, including his ramps on his back is 16 1/2.

Hercules by comparison (i'm not drawing lines that honestly don't really show much imo, especially when none of the images used as a reference show them standing fully erect) is 12 1/2 inches

Liking this a whole lot better than YotS Omega Supreme. Just seems to channel more of Omega's..."presence" if you will.

I totally agree with that. I was honestly prepared to buy both of these...now i'm not even sure i want to waste the $100 on getting the YOTS version.

No, Hasbro made a Classics Metroplex. He looks nothing like his FOC counterpart.
