They could easily make a kit to turn this into G1 Omega

    Tracks
New arms with smaller claw and cannon forearms
    Armor for beefy lower legs

    Done

Hells yeah and I would definitely buy that. I'd definitely go for the smaller arm pieces.

Armor for the legs could also somehow fold up and attach to the tank/head to make a beefier tank mode, OR turn into other stuff

How difficult is the transformation on this figure? I've heard some complaints about the dangers of bending pegs in his forearm during transformation and other pegs on teh wings acting too tight & tearing off sections as a result.

I don't find it too difficult to transforms. Taking off the arms pieces do help.

It gets a little floppy when you're unpegging stuff to get locked into place for either mode, but when it's locked in, everything's super solid. The transformation itself isn't all that difficult, but the floppiness combined with the weight of this thing just makes it a little tricky.

I haven't had any issues with breakage on mine but the lower peg holding the two drill bits together is a little too long (in my opinion) so mine started off with some stress marks and I think it's going break off soon

I have owned this guy for a few months now and transformed him a dozen times
hadnt had any type of wear yet, but I feel like I should be expecting it

Finally my resistance wore down, and I got the big lug from RK. Not quite supplanting Quake Wave as awesomest 3rd Party toy ever, but darn close.

I do have one concern. On both treads on the back, the tab that secures them pointing up in robot mode, are stressed, and also around the rotational joint on one side. (Sorry, no pics, didn't bring it to work :p  ). Is this common? There's a couple of stressmarks on the dark gray detailing on him as well.
