Is that cat an advanced preview of MMC's secret, legendary Feral Rex sixth member?

A stand in for trypticon perhaps. Still, those pics really drive it's scale home to me. Now more than ever I do want genesis. I'll have to see what I have to bump to get it.

I don't know who he is, but he's bad ass. What a sweet lookin' cat. Looks to have a sweet nature about him. Hell, he's the best part of that line up.

Just received mine. The quality is amazing, I feel just like when I receive high-end SOC or Macross toys. Packaging is fantastic, very sturdy and pretty and heavy box, and the figure is really heavy as well. No cheap plastic or hollowness here!

I'm happy to see this project get so many good reviews. This was a huge gamble for this start up company, but it seems they may be around for a bit!

    Packaging is amazing.
    Quality is amazing.
    Weight is amazing.
    Transformation is amazing.

I think it's the most impressive 3rd party toy I've ever handled, and I've pretty much handled them all at one point or another (and nevermind I've always been a fan of big toys). I was going to say it's as good as a true Transformer, but no, HasTak would never offer something that good and complex at that size. The only downside: the LEDs that can't be turned off when they're in. So either you play all lights in and on or you put them aside. But the gimmick is still pretty cool, with all the LEDs in, it makes for an impressive sight. And there are several nice little touches like the 6 hidden cannons, the Autobot symbol plate that rotates to unlock the chest panel, the head/tank and how it hides inside the body, the ring that turns clockwise when you spin the claws counterclockwise, how the wings have been integrated in the design, the overall articulation, how all the parts lock together, etc. I'm 10 times more stoked about that figure than I was about MP-13, that has been transformed maybe 3 times and then put on display. Maybe because it's just an old and predictable design?

Now to figure out that base mode...

I'm with ya. This is the outright best figure I own atm and I dare say it won't be topped by anything for a very long time, although Overlord & Hexatron might match it, will wait and see.

I believe Shadezero got it the best. Here's my attempt with a little better lighting to see what's going on. Everything pegs together perfectly

Aw. That's a bummer. There's no way I'm just going to keep those on hand with him, unless I guess I can find some place to stash them (shove them into the gaps in his track backpack, maybe? I dunno). Oh well. Still looking forward to receiving mine.

He is a 13 year old cat who has kidney problem and spends lot of time with me while I was doing my transformers stuff. Yeah, he is a really sweet cat, I love him.

Posted this in the video thread.

TBH, it must be just me, but I am not liking this guy that much. Maybe it is because I just got YOTS or that the want factor is not so high that I am willing to over look things.

But to me, it looks like the Transformation is real simple. Flop the legs down, pull the arms out and tab together. Nothing to it really.

Then you have the Bot mode which to me at least seems really annoying to pose. Put this hear to balance this. If not it topples over. For a $300 figure I am expecting some diecast in his legs to weigh him down. That should be the norm for these things now I think anyway.

Also, after Hercules, weak ratchets just drive me nuts.

On a positive, I like the G1 Base mode and it does look game accurate. I cannot spend $300 on it though. Especially since YOTS is out at a 3rd the price and we hope that Maketoys will make the add on set to it. Not to mention YOTS looks about the same size as him as well. Here is a shot I took earlier today to show the YOTS size:

So for me personally, just too much going against it to warrant that final price tag. Especially in a year such as this one where there is so much out there.

Am I wrong about what I saw in the video?
