I bought this guy and Robot Kingdom was very nice to communicate with me and get me one of their early packaged versions out as soon as they got them in. I'm working on my video for those interested. It probably won't be done till Monday and others may get a video up before me, but here are few pictures of him in hand. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask.

    Robot mode

    Ship mode

    Old Enemies...new look

And the neatest part. Is it might be possible for a base mode. The instructions do not show anything like that. But looking here, the arms actually are designed to connect like this. There are tabs perfectly designed to lock the arms together and obviously...Genesis' head can turn into a tank :)  I'm just really not creative at all at making "fan modes"...but this totally seems like it was intential

I agree...i'm just terrible at visualizing things and implementing them. My guess is if his head can be a tank and his arms can be the rocket...a base is VERY probable.

If there was a base mode I'd start considering getting this. Not a fan of the "what the hell is this supposed to be" alt mode.

Autobot78 mentioned the chest being a launch pad in the main thread. Hopefully he will chime in with pics as he said he had some I think.

Can't wait for cp to get there stock. But I gotta ask was he worth the price tag? I'm.a sucker for wfc stuff so I was in when we saw colored pics but I'm curious how others felt as I know his wfc incarnation is not universally loved

$300 bucks if very expensive. No doubt at all. But i made the point that Hercules cost $600 bucks. This guy is $300 and he's bigger than Hercules. That and MP figures go for $200 bucks all day long as official products. I really think the price for this guy is fairly reasonable, considering.

300 bucks is expensive for a toy, but while i would ssay most 3p items are geared towards a adult collectors they still look like toys.

this to me looks more like a collector piece than anyother 3p item before it.

and you comparison of price is spot on though some will argue you get 7 boths for that price and not one. the point still stand that you pay alot but it seems as though you get a lot more all things considered.

thanks for posting the pics and i look forward to your review

$600 for Herc, I can get the Rage of Herc set with 2nd edition 'bots for between 300 and 400 depending on where you go.

But that's off topic somewhat, thanks for the review. Look forward to the vid.

Christ, if third party's can churn out those kind of sizes and maintain quality of that, Hercules, Quakewave, etc., there's certainly a bright future for a possible Classics-verse Omega... and Metroplex... and Trypticon.

Dammit, I had never, not once thought of it in those terms. Put that way, as an MP, which is blatantly obvious, the cost is pretty well justified. Opbot, I think you may have just cost me $350. Damn you good sir.

He weighs what, 4kg? Somewhere was mentioned that due to size and weight the plastic used had to be rather strong. He doesn't look hollow by the pics, but someone that has it could inform us a bit more about that.

He certainly was 600 on release. Less than 400? I am yet to see that, but I haven't looked since I got mine on release so wouldn't know.

I am also one of others that never put this in perspective to MP prices. It absolutely is worthy of that price, heck you might say it's a bit low...
