So, I just got my Cybertron Soundwave from BBTS today and I noticed that, although people have reviewed the figure, nobody has posted the Planet X information that the Voyager size package has on it's side. So her goes:

Seems like they just gave a reason for Soundwave to show up in the Fan Club Comic.

Neat. I have to admit, as much as I loved Galaxy Force, Hasbro gave Planet X a better backstory.

And considering the upcoming Unicron figure's story, it looks like (in a way) Planet X wins! :rock  (note: NOT a GF/Cybertron cartoon spoiler)

Oooo, very nicely done. Given some of the hints dropped in the series about "great evil being sealed", this really does play into the plot nicely.

Pity Hasbro can't commision a further ~13 episodes to tell this story. Maybe IDW will give us a miniseries chronicling it?

It's got a lot of great elements to it, to be something really cool, IMHO, but that Unicron stuff is nonsense, IMHO. Does every series now require someone to make a pact with Unicron? The Energon Decepticons, etc.

Personally, I think one of the best descriptions for a faction could come from it. Something like:

Planet X does not exist. It is a code word linking those who claim no world as their home, a secret society of Transformers whose shadowy goals are shrouded in a web of deceit. No one knows how many Planet X agents there are in the universe, or who they are. All that is known is that wherever one of these mysterious Transformers go, upheavel soon follows.

Many are the survivors of a civilization destroyed long ago by the never-ending expansion of the Giant Planet. Most are consumed by their thirst for revenge, they have committed themselves to obtaining the power to one day annihilate the Giant Planet; experimenting on themselves to enhance their power as well as experimenting with time travel. For millions of years, Soundwave and some the others have searched the galaxy for the Planet Keys, their purpose far darker than even that of the Decepticons. They hope to change the structure and history of the Universe, to give their dead planet new life and great importance and to leave the Giant Planet, and its denziens destroyed!

I like yours as well, Pravus. Thing is, Unicron will probably be released as a Planet X Transformer, so this bio is there to get those who don't know about the new Unicron toy to start thinking, "he's coming".

The beauty of it is, though, that your bio and the official one interact very nicely. They play off each other.

Well that explains everything why Sideways is in Cybertron. I knew Planet X had some connection with Unicron. Good thinkin' Hasbro! :thumb

It is MUCH better then the explanation given in Galaxy Force, that's for sure. That one was just lazy. :stick:

    Episode 51 of Armada-
"Optimus and Galvatron find their way to the heart of Unicron, where they find the three Mini-Con weapons ‘lodged’ into the chamber of Unicron's heart. Sideways, the mysterious warrior, emerges and reveals that he was Unicron all along."

Yeah, I remember that, but it seems pretty contrived if you ask me. Much prefer Sideways the way he is in Cybertron. A member of the Planet X agency which serves Unicron rather than being some type of robotic Anti-Christ...

I like him better in Cybertron, too. I wish that the writers would try to stick to the history of the series, but if they did I would have nothing to talk about!:lol

I didn't mean he was an Anti-Christ Figure, more like part of Unicron
