You're out because of the size, but I'm totally in because of it.
We collectors are a finicky bunch.
If you want the threads, start them. No rule against it. Usually people will just post all their responses about the toys here anyways.
So glad about all the colors. Perhaps the thread title should be changed to Planet X Seekers, to include them all.
We really are eh, I mean for me on one hand I don't particularly like how starscream is bigger than the Dino's but on the other hand I love the size of Mors and definitely wouldn't want these seekers to be any smaller.
The complaint I would have about doing them smaller would be that they are no better than the Hasbro version just with a higher price tag & an over complex method to get from form to form. I think the scale works great and keeps the price resonable for 3rd party standards.
Well its not a matter of accuracy, if they were going for accuracy everything they've put out based on wfc would be super duper desaturated. Just like how hasbro handled their seekers I just think toy wise the more traditional bright colors work for the design much better.
Technically the only similarities at deluxe size would be the same size, however joint wise, engineering wise and paint ap wise they would still be vastly superior just as they are now.
But yeah scaling nitpicks aside voyager works way better for these. Its not so much these guys are too big as it was their dinos were too small. But I understand that that's a reflection of px having to weigh their costs and sales against what "looks best" scaling wise and probably didn't even have plans for the seekers when doing their dinos.
for anyone that has them how does mors size up compared to foc soundwave or megasteel tronus/granville? im getting more for taxes than i thought i would and may pick him up
Ah I see.
FoC Soundwave is ultra, these are voyagers. Different size class.
That FOC Soundwave is Voyager size.
I'll try to snap a pic or two of him and PX's Starscream a little later.
Huh weird he is too, man he should be scaled perfect for these doods then.
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.
awesome, thanks!!! that doesnt look bad at all, for some reason i thought mors was taller but that pic sells it for me
Glad I could help you spend more money.
hopefully the other two wont be too hard or expensive to get ahold of
*fingers crossed for non exclusive releases*
Glad they publicly mentioned the colors arent final [to avoid a huge hissy, as it looks like they just took the starscream and went "inject purple/blue instead of red" to the mold]
But I wanted to see how theyd look so I did a quick bash
Hope they keep in mind that Thundercracker was a little more on the cyan side than he was a straight blue, like they have in their mock-up, in the games. Would love to see that come across on these. All in all, there's a lot more color to these guys than their mock-ups, so I wouldnt worry. PX is usually really good with this stuff
Oh yeah, those look really nice.
