Ironically Fansproject did a multipack of their insecticons repainted into CHUG versions of the deluxe Insecticons years ago.

 

That's right! Not for the original release, but the repaints. I've actually thought about buying that, so I'm not sure why that slipped out of my head.

I would not be against a three-pack if they went that way, especially if it's economical. I've seen some grousing about them looking too small, but I think they look perfect.

 

I honestly would prefer them to be small deluxe or legends sized. If they do a 3-pack at a reasonable price, I would totally get them. I don't specifically collect WFC/FOC designs, but I do have PX's Perceptor, and it's a fantastic and highly underrated figure. I made it my Wreckers stand in.

 

Wait- are these sold separately or could there be a "Boxset" release for all three?

I'm hearing sold as a set (but don't quote me on that). And who wouldn't want multiple sets of these guys to post all around their PX Grimlock??!

I've heard from someone who's seen them in person that they are in fact fairly small. Maybe about BadCube Gears height I'd wager? Could be a little larger but I don't think smaller.

 

These are fantastic, and I'm glad we're seeing these. I feel like the 3P discussion has been semi-stale lately as it's been the same few figures being evaluated over and over. This and SXS Nautica are, so far, my big 2018 new reveals.

Highly likely this will depend on the Insecticons' sales. If successful, they will most likely milk the mold and produce new deco'd versions.

This is a good sign for me buying more than one set. I don't think PX would sell a three-pack at an exorbitant price instead of selling three individual figures at normal prices (as an example, $220-240 for a three-pack would be prohibitive compared to three ~$80 releases).

I really like these, but Kickback is basically just a slightly updated deluxe. That was a great figure, but I was expecting some more slightly slender legs in bug mode. That and the front legs are both a single, inarticulate piece? That isn't an upgrade at all.

I hate to whine, but that's a bummer, the other two rock.
