I agree, plus, perceptor got the weapons i forever wanted.
Don't remember what size they were in the game, but I'll be very disappointed if these guys are bigger than a large deluxe. If I got these guys, they'd probably just be display fodder to make the donut bots look cooler. I wouldn't want them to look like they stand a chance.
Judging by Hardshell's hand, though, it looks like they won't be too big.
Understatement of the Century. Been saying that since day one gettting my hands on the fig.
Seeing how PX Voyager'd FoC Optimus, the Seekers, and (most likely) FoC Megs, odds are the insecticons will get the same voyager treatment (if not a tad smaller).
Then again, they do show them to be taller than Shockwave (and he wasn't miniscule) -
Size-wise my preference would be around the size of Caelus (PX's Swoop). Currently he feels like an odd man out, as all the figures PX has done since have been Voyager or larger. Which is fine for the Dinobots and leaders like Prime and Megs, but there needs to be some variety in the line. Like, if they get around to making any of the carbots, I certainly wouldn't want those standing eye-to-eye with Prime or Sludge.
That said, I'm not actually sure what the "proper" size would be, based on the game. A quick google search makes the above picture look crazy, since they look to only be maybe a bit bigger than Jazz, who is certainly shorter than Shockwave.
I'd be down for Hardshell. I'm happy with hasbro's Kickback and I just found FP Thundershred for $25 at my local comic store. If they put out something real amazing I may change my mind though.
They have a habit of doing so.
My biggest issue with the PX offerings have been scale (I know, I know). What I mean is that their non city/dino characters seem a little too big in comparison. That establishing shot of Shockwave and the Insecticons may make me reconsider buying them, as they're apparently bigger than my FoC Generations Shockwave in game and PX's bots skew big.
On a side note, I found that the named insecticons were a bit underwhelming in the game as adversaries. The swarms of gigantic bugs near the end of Grimlock's level seemed more problematic. If they wanted to beef up the insections, I'm surprised they didn't at least offer up the Deluxes (Ransack, Chopshop, Venom) as the bruisers that the original three weren't.
Planet X. I love you. You're the best 3p company.
But seriously. We need to talk.
Pfft, get in line -
The list is still pretty intense ...
Yeah this has been the weird thing for me with PX too, but I guess I'm overlooking it.
The Dinobots made perfect sense as Voyagers and Large Voyagers. If "regular" sized bots are going to be Voyager scale though, then it would have made more sense to make the Dinobots leader sized. Though that being said, strickly speaking, in FoC, only Grimlock and Sludge are bigger than your average Transformer.
Still I do wish that when they get to Prowl, Wheeljack and Jaz, they just do large Deluxe / Small Voyager and keep it economical.
Seriously, some PX Combaticons would be a must.
Btw, if anyone is interested in a Takara FoC Kickback, I'm selling mine. Details in my S/T/W link (sig below).
Why? I mean I'm happy with the official FoC Combaticons and using Military Titan to replace Takara's FoC Onslaught. The only thing I would like is Brawl in his spider-tank mode, but only if PX makes it compatible to the FoC combiner ports, so I can easily swap out Brawl's when desired
I might be wrong, but judging by those hands, they look a little small for the FOC Insecticons.
Also, I see they decided against making Hardshell his FoC tank mode from multiplayer.
I hope they wont cost me 300 bucks, I really want them nxt to my dinos
Want want want want
These pics very much please my Meibomian glands.
Will they be sold separately or will Planet X consider some kind of "box set" further down the line?
Separate names with a comma.
