Just heard this on the news, a small commuter plane crashes near the Lexington Blue Grass airport in Kentucky.

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,210650,00.html

There were around 50 people on board, so far they've only found 1 survivor.

There's a press conference scheduled to go live in a couple of minutes

That's really sad news. Has this made anyone reconsider going to Botcon at the end of next month?

I woke up to that news earlier today... I think they mentioned something like they were on the wrong runway or something...

I pray for the people who died in this crash and their families involved. The Lexington Airport is a small airport, and doesn't have a whole lot of traffic. I'm not entirely surprised something like this happened there, and I'd be tempted to chalk this up to lax personnel.

A woman I work with was on that plane. She was new in my department ans was heading to Atlanta for certification is a software we use. Very sad news indeed. She was a sweet woman. Such a unfortunate accident. It was confirmed that it took off from the wrong runway.

Oh man, so very sorry to hear that :(

You have to stop and think really, that for every one person who loses it's life, there are *at least* fifty people who will be closely associated or will have known that person, who will be affected by their passing... :(
