Let me get my tour guide "mojo" on. (Is that what the kids are calling it these days? Mojo?)

Well, since many folks are going to flooding into my hometown and current residence, Dallas, TX in the next week or so for this year's Botcon, I wanted to suggest some great places for you to stop by. I've grown up here and know the lay of the land pretty well.

Aunt Stelle's Snow Cones - 2002 West Clarendon Drive 75208.

Just in time for Botcon, Aunt Stella's begins selling its' signature BEST SNOW CONES EVAHHH for its' 2012 season April 28. I highly recommend the Pink Lady. But get there fast, since even at opening everyone is lined up!

The Soda Gallery - 408 North Bishop Avenue #101 75208.

This has essentially EVERY soda you could ever dream of. And just down the street, there is...

Hunky's - 321 North Bishop Avenue 75208.
A diner with delicious hamburgers and cheese fries (not the goop they put on burgers at McDonald's - REAL cheese you buy in blocks from WalMart), plus malts, desserts, and plenty of good food.

Lone Star Consolidated Foods - 1727 North Beckley Avenue 75203.

A place with the best donuts around.

Norma's Cafe - 1123 West Davis Street 75208

The crown jewel of food as far as I am concerned. Crazy-good old fashioned diner.

Dallas Zoo, South R L Thornton Freeway 75203.

The best zoo in Texas.

All following locations are in Mesquite, just a little bit away from Dallas.

Town East Mall - 75150

For all your mall and shopping needs.

AMC 30 - 19919 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway.

Huge, comfortable and excellent theatre in case you want to catch a movie while you're here.

Fashion Barbers - 101 West Main Street 75149

Need a barber? These guys are excellent at service and hospitality, and make you feel right at home. They are a bit understaffed right now since their colleague Cotton retired, so you may want to head a few stores to the left of them to the small barbershop at the end of their little "shopping center" for lack of better term.

Dallas has two diffrent types of strip clubs: Toppless and All Nude.

Toppless can by drinks at the bar.

All nude is BYOB and normally stay open later.

 

I am all in for looking at so big old Dallas titties

Welcome to Texas. Dry Counties and the TABC have to be one of the most hypocritical wastes of time in the history of bureaucracy, but we're kinda stuck with it. DRY COUNTIES

 

That's awesome, I don't think we have anything like that here in Canada, And our strippers are all fully nude

Deffently not walking distance, but not to far from the hotel. It actully in a part of town called Deep Ellum. If you have a car your looking at about a 10 min drive give or take. ITs been awhile since i have been, they used to run drink specials before 10. They do charge a cover, but not sure how much it will be now.

 

I'd like to do a tour of Dallas on the Thursday, any recommendations?
