I'm looking for a place to purchase Alternators/Binaltech KOs. Are there any reliable sites in addition to Chimungmung?

Chimungmung is the way to go atm. Why not go with them?

Seems to be the way to go if you're buying multiple items.

I'm just looking for other places. CMM doesn't have all of the releases available, but they are certainly very good at what they do.

How is Chimungmung with their shipping? Do items arrive in good condition? Or do boxes arrive crunched up?"

Another question about Chimungmung: What is the quality of the products they sell? I see several items of interest and just wanted to know before actually purchasing anything.

I've never had any damaged toys arrive from them. Keep in mind, though, that the boxes/cards for most of these KO's aren't great to begin with so you're typically not purchasing MISB/MOSC display worthy items.

It really depends on the products. I've purchased the over-sized cassettes and they feel pretty cheap with extra plastic from the sprues still on them. The over-sized Soundwave is pretty awesome, but his stickers are awful. The PE (I think) KO is made of a very soft and flexible plastic. The Binaltech/Alternators KO's, however, are pretty nice! Here's a pic of the Meister KO that I purchased from them with some custom made Autobot symbols:

Their shipping is good, everything I've had has been well packed and arrived in pretty decent time.

As for the quality of their products, well that's not really down to them, it's down to the maker of the KO so it's gonna vary wildly.

Why would you want KOs? The originals are dirt cheap right now on eBay.

I would imagine it is due to the variety of KOs that are available that are not available in official form. At less than $20 bucks a pop, it's pretty cool to be able to get essentially "custom" figures that you don't have to customize. You're correct though, a little patience on eBay has always worked pretty well for me and almost all of my Alts have been obtained pretty damn cheaply.

That being said, this thread tricked me into checking out Chimungmung and their KO Alts. Now the plasticrack urge is kicking in. Any other opinions about the overall quality of Knock Off Alts?

Not a lot of original BTs. From what I've been able to find, the KO BTs for Meister and Shockblast are pretty fantastic quality. Those 2 in general are selling for more on Ebay (real ones).

Are the quality of all the Alt/bin KOs good? I'm specifically looking to buy Swindle, Smokescreen, Jazz/Meister (racing version) and pretty much any other that has a G1-esque robot mode/deco. (Already have the official Wheeljack and Skids).
    Any help would be appreciated.

BT's are slowly drying up. The only versions available on ebay are mainly the last 4 figures that were released and the odd assortment of Skids, Ravage & Grimlock with a few others. Some like White coloured Jazz are getting much harder to find, I'd say he's rare now. I still need him!!!

I had the KO of BT Jazz and Red Alert/Prowl from Chimungmung and they were fantastic. Perfect custom fodder.

If he doesn't have what your looking for send him a message, he may be able to get you it.
