XD Looks like real college advertising. Clever! As for the "Cars 2" comment: yeah! What was wrong with it? In my opinion is an improvement of the first movie. "Cars" was fun and all but "Cars 2" is a worldwide adventure!
Cars 2 was too silly. Even a sillier Pixar movie like the first Monsters Inc knew when to stop being too silly. It felt unnecessary. The first one was fine, but this one, even though John Lasseter himself came up with it and not Disney, felt like just an excuse to make more Cars toys. Every Pixar film I've left the theatre from, I had a smile on my face and loved it. Not Cars 2. It just felt like I was forced to sit at Chuck E Cheese's while hyperactive children enjoyed themselves. Then again, it did have a lot to live up to after the Best Picture-nominated Toy Story 3 came out the previous year (that God-tier movie is a huge bar to pass). I'm hearing from early screenings that this prequel is a lot more immature than past Pixar films, and I certainly hope it isn't as silly as Cars 2. It looks like lots of fun, Monsters Inc was a great film that certainly didn't need a sequel to that beautiful ending when Sulley smiles and reunites with Boo, but hopefully this prequel will impress.
I didn't think Cars 2 was that bad either. It was definitely Pixar's weakest film plot-wise, but I enjoyed as a fun animated spy movie. Maybe it's because I just like cars in general. Plus, the movie had a Bruce Campbell cameo!

A scare pig? lol That purple monster looking thing shaped in a U that the director said "even we don't know what he is" reminds me of a character from the Muppet Show a long time ago (I'm showing my age here) Let me see if I can find the link to the vid of that Muppet Show character It's at 5:30 in this video
I hate it because it made Mater the main character instead of Lightning. It's like a Direct to DVD sequel to like every Disney film and that's bad.
Cars 2 sucked balls. Crochety old man balls. Even my grandma acknowlodges its bad. Other than that, I like every Pixar film.
Looking at this movie, I kind of wish the original MI could be reanimated with the current technology. All the monster textures like scales, hair, lighting, etc. look so much better now.
Yeah, it's crazy going back and watching something like Toy Story 1 (which was pretty amazing for its time) and comparing it with Toy Story 3 or something even more current like Brave or MU.
