And look how they manipulatively exploited it too, by.... um, declining to comment on the story entirely and failing to notify the media at all. Cynical Pixar bastards!
that was a very kind show of compassion on pixar's part to grant that little her dying wish. such a short life, unable to know it to its fullest extent. she's now in a better place, where children play happily. no troubles near be. fret not, young one. when the time comes, you'll be reunited with your loved ones. just have patience. im glad no one here had the gall to say something inappropriate.
Holy shit bro that's all I can say seriously wow faith in humainty just got a +1 I don't know a thing about up but I think I'll watch it I haven't seen a pixar film since TS2
That was nice of them. Not entirely unexpected though, given they chose to specialize in children's movies.
Im kind of glad that was all she cared about, so it would'nt be as mentally painful when she let go after seeing it. Glad she got her wish. On the other hand it was such a small wish, I hope her parents don't think that she won't miss them since she let go of life after a movie. Hope she got & gave lots of hugs in her final moments. Best wishes to the family
good on ya pixar. you read stuff that makes you want to give up on humanity, then you read something like this that restores your hopes. as bad as we get, there is ALWAYS some good left.
What a touching and sad story. I am happy that Pixar granted that girl her dying wish. to that little girl and Pixar FTW.
big thumbs up to Pixar, they made that poor girl very happy in her last hourson this world and probably helped her parents deal with the lossof their child knowing she left happy
Pixar rock, and they always have. I'm still upset that Monsters Inc got beaten at the Oscars by Shrek in 2002. Inc was a film with an intelligent story, heart, emotion and comedy, but it was beaten by a film with generic anti-Disney gags and famous VA's. Sigh. After this I may have to go out and rebuy Pixar films on Blu Ray.
I'm so very glad that Pixar did that, it was one of the most appropriate film for her, she's now off to another adventure.
Nice of Pixar. I just hope they don't then pimp out this good deed by sticking a featurette of it on the DVD release of the film.
Truly a sad story, she went at such a young age but she got to see her movie at least. I can't imagine what her parents must have gone through, no parent should ever outlive their child.
