    Decipticon: Pit Stop
    Function: Tactical planning, Systems Repair
"You guys can last a few more cycles"

Pit stop was originaly slated to be a member of the stunticons team, but was replaced due to his sheer laziness. He earned the wrath of Megatron when he did not show up for a single engagement during his time on earth. Fleeing to Cybertron, he was discovered by Shockwave who recognized Pit Stops hidden talents. Serving under his new master Pit Stop is a master tactical advisor as well as chief systems repair. He would be a great threat to the Autobots if he would ever complete a project he started, fortunatly no one has had to worry about that yet.

This guy was created from my wife asking me when I was going to paint her a pink transformer. As pink paint is in short supply in my materials I told her to pick one out and she could get purple. She grabbed my lockdown and told me to get to work >.> I really liked his Alt. mode (main reason I got him) and had a decent head for a TFA toy, but I couldn't stand his neck. So it all got replaced with the Heavy Load head I had sitting on my desk, and I thought it looked really great. His head set thing looked like a racing communicator and I though his hook looked more like a tool than a weapon, hince his profile.

This is my first time creating a character on my own and I hope you enjoy! Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I like Pitstop as a name, but it seems more fitting to an actual Autobot.

Either way, I like what you did here. That Quickmix head fits the Animated style amazingly well. Can't wait to see the Alt Mode pics :]

I'm amazed how well you got that Cyb Quickmix head to work for this mold! I really, really like the bio and the identity of this character as well. Fan characters are truly special. More so when they're done right like this one. Great work :thumb

Awesome!! The head works great, the colors make it not Lockdownish, and the bio is too cool!:thumbs2:  He really looks like a totally new mold to me. He could be my character mode, I can't finish a project either! Skockwave, don't beat me!!:throw

Heh. Yeah, I can relate too. :D

Excellent fig. The head really works well (and the neck bugs me too), and I love the name and bio!

Of course, I'm sure there's some sort of irony that you finished him... :p

Nice, how did you manage to remove LD's neck ?
I've never been able to figure out how to get at the damned hidden screw.

Not a screw, but pins. I'll have to go get mine and see what I did. I think I drilled a hole blind at his shoulders, got lucky that I could see his pin. It's pretty involved to get there but the rest is pretty straight forward.

Once again, I must admire Pit Stop!

Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes!!

Great looking character man! I love the short bio and the head you used, not many existing heads fit the animated aesthetic. Can't wait to see the alt mode pics

    Thanks for all the comments!

Added Alt mode pics, still can't decide if I want to paint the spoiler or the middle of back bumper.

I didn't find those pins till Mr. Dremel had allready been brought out. The piece that the neck attaches to is acctually 2 independant pieces on a rod. I trimmed those down to almost flush and glued them into 1 piece. I drilled a small divot into it, put a small screw into quickmixs head and glued the screw into the divot. So he doesn't really have up and down head movement except for where the whole piece moves.

    Thanks again!

I'd at least paint the middle of the spoiler if I were you. The middle of the bumper is a tough call to me,
it might look a lil funny in bot mode if you don't paint the elbow socket area completely as well.

I've done 3 Lockdown bashes & as I said have been unable to figure out that damn neck/torso connection.
    Thanks for the insight.
